Um, @seashols, I think your idea of "getting into the slot" is not the same as what is being discussed

A Nike perhaps? Just my guess based on the extension and the ear protection.

Make Me an Offer!!! MLB Hardwick Plate Slacks 35R
kristoffae replied to twood71's topic in Buy, Sell or Trade
Sorry to hear that. I was the $60.00 bid so you must have been the $61.00 bid. Definitely much less than he was probably expecting to get for those which is probably why you have yet to get your hands on them. -
Logo Athletic. Now can we please stop with these nonsense threads?

FWIW, Hardwick Clothes has filed for bankruptcy but is still operating. "America's oldest privately held clothing manufacturer has filed for bankruptcy after a federal pension protection agency ordered the company to replenish its underfunded retirement plan." They run Sunday morning infomercials. There is nothing revolutionary about their stuff. Probably a division of Ronco.

I got to work with Sean earlier this year. He wore a Power with TW retro fit.

Some physical umpiring in the Japanese league
kristoffae replied to CentralOhioUmp30's topic in Professional
Absolutely. And I also bet Kennedy won't be umpiring in the CPBL much longer either. Does he teach that choke move at HWUS? C'mon bro. That's totally uncalled for. Your an umpire for God's sake. We're all supposd to be better than that. Would you want to be shown up and have a cheap shot like that taken towards you on a public forum? I'm sure he regrets it, and has learned from the situation. Show some professionalism and have some ediquette. I think you owe Mr. Kennedy an apology. If not, I'll apologize for you. Are you now the public umpire forum police? Are you on the lookout for any ill word typed on here about anyone who straps it on and charged with demanding apologies from those who may not fall in line with your view of "professionalism"? If so, you are going to be busy on here. How about starting with those who bitch and complain about the SH*#ty partners they always have to work with? Try reading some of those and administering your keyboard justice to them as well. And what is this "We're all supposed to be better than that"? Better than what? I saw an umpire grab a coach by the neck. How about being better than that? If you or I did that and it made it on You Tube, or the local paper, or the police blotter, we would be lit up on forums like these. Just like the douche umpire who got arrested and tazed for umpiring drunk. Remember that? We would be taking keyboard cheap shots from every umpire on here. So we will just be "better than that" in this situation because of who it is and where he works? -

That thing has seen better days. Do yourself a favor and pickup one of the Champion P2xx CP's brand new at a reasonable price. Great protection at an entry level price.

Calling a coach "coach" comes off as disrespectful?

He had the mask powder coated to match the shins

If you want to save a few $'s then this place has been selling the Reebok Field Magistrate II's at a pretty fair price. http://www.myshoespot.com/c-24-mens-shoes.aspx?searchterm=-magistrate I ordered two pair just to have in the closet. I just gave this link to a NB 460 guy because his 460's are falling apart. The toe box is tearing away from the rest of the shoe under the met plate.

Are they worth it? Yes More comfortable? Yes Less impact? Yes How are they better than the stock pads? They are more comfortable, washable, and provide the best impact absorbtion of any mask pad (in my opinion, and others as well).

The "Sold" post wasn't a clue?

Agreed It is a "old" mechanic no longer used and shouldn't be used. I don't know that I agree here, Lou. In my opinion it's better to immediately go to the PU who should be up the line looking for PF/ST and ask him if the fielder held the bag, then make the call. When done correctly it makes the crew look sharp and shows they're working as a team. Tim. The crew in the OP did it "correctly" and look what they ended up with. A mess. I doubt anyone watching was saying wow that crew looked sharp. Please please please own your calls on the bases. Nothing says I don't want to make a tough call quite like pointing at the other guy to make the tough call. Just sayin.

I wear mine in the "upper second tier rim" because 1. Doesnt flap back and forth. It stays put nice and tight. 2. There is a significantly reduced gap between the throat guard and the top of my CP.
-
Wrong. He called him out on the tag after his initial call was to point at his partner. He never made an immediate safe/out on the initial play at first. His immediate call was to point at his partner. And so then you get a nice mess to clean up after all the confusion.
-
^^^^^THIS^^^^^ Own you calls on the bases. If you have to fix something that can be fixed, wait to be asked to go to your partner and then fix it.
