Also anyone else find it interesting that Angel Hernandez was the one who stayed out on the field?

Super tough call live. On replay it does appear to change trajectory ever so slightly. 

 

Remember the guys when they go for replay assistance are not getting the feed from the tv stations and aren't getting that enhanced view.

Maybe its really not as tough a call as you think, any ball hit that close to the foul pole and you see no change of direction, has to be foul, otherwise it would have hit the pole or screening.

 

I guess in the review they are looking for the slightest change of direction, which would mean it nicked the pole making it fair.

 Are there certain MLB cameras in place for the replays? I always assumed they got the tv station feeds but honestly have no idea

I think what they are calling a change of direction is just the ball curving as it went pat the pole.

Why is it interesting that Angel is on the field? Good call. Had one of those benders at a game in St George, Ut that I clearly saw bend behind the mesh of the pole. Got an argument, but a photographer for the local newspaper got a picture of it and said it was the right call.

I never realized until now how an umpire pretty much has to go most of the game without peeing.  And if it's an old stadium like Wrigley where they have to walk through the dugout to get to the dressing room, it could be hazardous after a blown call

I'd think if the 3 do not agree, then the call on the field stands. If they don't agree that's pretty much saying it's not conclusive evidence.
