Agreed.  Had this same play this weekend.  I called it the other way.

Exactly! But mine are usually the other way around. Ball beats them well before but the young kids are not taught how to properly apply tags and the runner slides in underneath. Of course I call safe and everyone goes crazy lol. My partner and I usually just give eachother a look and chuckle.
