I'm getting the all-star FM4000 (aka: system 7) mask. I hear a lot of TW pads. I was wondering if someone can tell me 100% that they will fit? The problem is, the FM4000, the top is curved to fit the forehead.

Are they worth it? More comfortable? Less impact? How are they better than the stock pads?

They are more comfortable, washable, and provide the best impact absorbtion of any mask pad (in my opinion, and others as well).

Have the tan TW's on my FM4000. Fit just fine. It's my workhorse mask.post-2599-0-49501400-1371875685_thumb.jp

Takes a while for them to soften up, but they feel really good and protective. I can say that I can't recall having my bell rung when taking a shot to the mask this year.

you have to split the middle velcro strap on the bottom pad. This is no problem.

As you pointed out, the top bar is curved. The TW pads are not designed to fit this mask, but can be coaxed into doing so.

IMO, the thickness of the TW's compared to the stock All Star pads is bothersome, plus they have an unfinished look with the less than perfect fit and extra material bunched around the edges.

I will buy a stock replacement set and the TW's will continue to adorn my backup mask.

Thanks everybody. I finally broke down and bought them. I have the tan ones they look good. They are comfortable but I find they are stiff. Will they soften up a bit or will they stay like that. Even if they don't, I still think they are really comfortable.
