If it appears to everyone else that the hand got in (from whatever angle) this worthless mechanic lets everyone know what's going on.  I just can't see an issue with this here ....  but that's me ....

I guess I'm just being nit-picky. I don't think I would've done it because I think it looked pretty obvious on the play but it's not a bad mechanic

I sometimes feel like it especially when theres been about 3 errors in the inning and they finally get an out.
