I currently have the FM2000UMP and I like it because of the curved forehead pad that fits nicely against my forehead. I looked at the Wilson line and it`s not shaped like that. My all-star is 18.5oz. The FM4000UMP is a little bit lighter, but is it worth it? I only got my FM2000UMP last year.

I like the FM4000. 2 ounces is the difference in weight. Is it worth it to you? IDK. I already own one.

I just ordered one and it should be hereby the weekend, looking forward to getting it. reviews from Boyinr and others was good, and the stock pads seem to do the job.

To answer the question, the FM2000 is a nice rig that's very light and comfy.  Why don't you use the FM2000 for another season, then get the 4000 at Christmas time and then rotate both of them?!

The stock LUC pads that come on both the 2000 and 4000 are VERY nice pads!  They don't stick to your "stubble" if you have any, and I've taken a few shots with them and they hold up very nicely.

You can't go wrong w/ All-Star rigs! :D

Used my new FM4000 earlier this week for the first time and I loved it. My main reason for buying it was the weight and quality. I have the Wilson Dynalite, WtA3017, and it wasn't as comfortable. The muscles on the left side of my neck have some nerve damage from ruptures at C4, C6 vertibraes three years ago. I start a game with no problems, but I get twinges of pain by the end of the game. In this new FM4000 no problems thru the whole game. My Dynalite will be up for sale soon.

As per my Mask Porn thread post, I have a FM4000 with TW tan pads and a Honig's navy harness. That's for all games with navy trim. I also have a Diamond iX3, black, with tan MacGregor doeskins for my black trim games. I liked it, and still do, but after being BU while a 18-year old kid borrowed it (I let him... Better that than the 2-ton Rawlings PWMX the facility had in the gear bin) to be PU during a tournament, I saw what it looks like... And I ordered an Easton Speed Elite. It's the only mask I've found that looks like the Nike Ti without being fetching that price tag. It has stock black pads, but I'll be putting TW blacks in it. I wear this on black-trim games that are overcast... Bright sunny days, I'll use the black Diamond.

Please note, the FM4000 in the above photo is PMY1 (production model year 1). The way you can tell is the ear guards. PMY2 and PMY3 (which we're in right now) have more streamlined (narrower) ear guards. I ordered from a place that used the PMY1 photo, hoping to get it (I even ordered the catcher's version), and I still got PMY3.

Particular? Bordering on AR? Sure, but I've already heard my fair share of whistlers go past my ears this spring/summer!

Mad Max, I noticed the Easton Elite too. To me it looks way similar to the FM4000. Do you know what the weight is, what do you think the pros are on it?

Hey everybody! My FM4000 came in. It is great. It is so light, you can't  even feel it on your face.

I have TW's. I prefer the stock pads on the FM4000

Well I will take your TW's off your hands. I love the TW's...

The Team Wendy pad aren't that remarkable until you've been hit a bunch of times, and realize that you probably would have felt the same shot a lot more with your old pads. That's the real difference. They're saving your brain from a worse injury.

Team Wendy pads are worth every cent!

Amen. You can still feel it when you take a really good shot, but you can also feel the difference in what the pads actually absorb of the impact.

I just commented on BigUmpire's post that the Team Wendy pads absorb much more of the impact and you notice it.
