The spelling of the above is one of my pet peeves.

I use Assigner as this is defined as a person who directs people to their jobs.

Assignor is a financial term of a person who doles out money to various areas.

Any comments.

A long time ago I read a book and I don't remember the title or author but he was a Canadian. For a while I kept spelling things the Canadian/British way ... colour, behaviour, cancelled, favourite, etc.

I was lucky enough to umpire two consecutive summers in Sydney, Australia back in the early 2000s. Evidently, each time I came back it would take about a week or two to get rid of the "accent" I had picked up.

What do they call the pound key in England

Hash

Then what do they call a hash-tag?

I have yet to try the twitter experience and haven't a clue what a hash-tag is.  Although it sounds very similar to a recreational game my buddies and I played while doing something else with hash back in the day.  Just sayin.
