7/10 missed the homerun force play just like I did on the fed test as well as the hit by batted ball on the steal and the conference one. All three brain farts

Yeah the one that bugged me was on a illegal slide play and the DC came out to me to question and I directed him to the PU and the determination was it was not an illegal slide the commentator said the PU missed it to.

fine, no sidebar. I scanned the MC section in my hsaa case book. There are no plays specifically like yours, but any time there is MC by a defender, he is ejected and the runner is awarded like it obstruction. Thats not true. Defensive MC is not automatically OBS. In the play at hand the runner was clearly going to be out, so the out stands and the catcher is ejected. Now you can give the runner the benefit of the doubt on this play but that's not going to help him much here. In the option where both the runner and catcher co-initiate MC, then score .5 runs. It helps minimise the chances of free baseball. Plus it could cover the spread

I found out a game I called was broadcast on this website. It is something else to see your self on video and to hear commentators expressing their views on the calls made. I also saw a few things I need to work on as well like getting set just a hair sooner and watching the tag ups a little better.

It reads like you got it right give r3 home and dump the catcher for MC. The out safe part of the rule only applies if the offense is the one initiating malicious contact.

Mani am glad to see this post as I was really beating myself up over my game last night and after reading some replies to this thread and a few others I have come to the realization that stuff happens and we move on.

Thanks Birdie. Yep, I know the heartache Red Sox and Cubs fans have endured. I've been a Rangers fan my whole life and the last 3 years have been brutal! I got to go see game 2 of the '10 ALCS and after we finally beat the Yankees in that series, I thought it was our year. Even got a ticket to game 4 of the World Series (won't say how much I paid for it!), but wasn't meant to be. Hardest was the next year. I was in Iraq when they played the Cardinals. Unfortunately, or fortunately, Armed Forces Network was down when they played game 6, so I didn't get to see it and Cruz' flub (the fortunate part). Rest is history. I couldn't bring myself to watch all of game 7, especially with no alcohol allowed to drown the sorrow. Then last year...start the season with league-best record and the only day they don't lead their division is the last day of the season!! The baseball gods giveth...and they taketh! Big Red I went to game three of the 2010 series even caught a batting practice ball from Vlad. I sat down the right field line and I payed 750 dollars for a seat that during the reg season cost 60. Some might say insane but how many ops does on get to go see the first home game your team has EVER played in a World Series. I cried during the player intros. Then in 2011 shortly after the series ended my wife and I moved to outside Memphis tn where the AAA squad for the Cardinals is so guess what I heard on the tv and radio all year. I don't even want to think about last year hell even I waited till after the season to quit dipping. looks like this year is going to be more of a National League style of ball and I pray the pitching staff finally realizes its potential.

But if the call was wilds to begin with when the coach came out shouldn't the plate guy have said something to the effect of coach wild had that call he will give the explanation or Is that different for rules disputes versus judgement calls? 200 POSTS -
Rich In the Fed book 7.3.4 says the pitch can can be a ball or strike. And the batter remains at bat for permitting the ball to hit him. Also cited in 8.1.1d 1 One would then have to judge intent if the ball was out of the strike zone.

Ricochet or a free snow cone for the kid that gets it or a pain to get the yellow smudge off. Are any of those the answer Jocko? -
The way I read that rule is that if it the first base a runner has to advance to and the Appeal is the third out then no runs score regardless of where other runners start. Citing 8-2-6 k of the federales

Not as bad as if the tying run didn't score and you went from walk off win to loser
