When I lost my Oakley's, I replaced them with these Maxx HD.  They reduce glare while actually sharpening what you see.  $13 - $17 shipped on Ebay.

If you must have Oakley's, there are good deals on Craigslist if you search large cities.

Does anyone have experience with Killer Loop sunglasses? Alex, are they interchangeable?

Definitely a scam!  On a whim I bought a pair off of a site like that a few years back.  GARBAGE!  You can find a nice pair on Ebay.

He's talking about the Oakley knockoffs because the X-loop and Maax HD glasses ARE on Ebay.

 

No, they're not interchanageable.  Just good looking comfy glasses for $15.  You can buy a few different shades and still save $ if you're not needing Oakleys. 

 

I hadn't tried HD glasses until that pair, and I did find them to be better for the dish.  I was more confident in them because they didn't just darken everything like other glasses, instead removing the glare while maintaining the sharp focus. YMMV but definitely worth the price.

The Oakley knockoffs.  I actually buy a new pair of MAXX sunglasses every year.  I LOVE them!  I pick them up at a pro-shop of a course I play early every year.

Thunderheads, I've owned Oakleys twice.  Once I ran them over backing out of my driveway (when I dropped them is a mystery) and another time I lost them during a season (all that changing in weird places, must have misplaced them).

 

I'm sure they're amazing quality, but due to my...ability to break/lose things, I was happy with the Maxx last year.

 

Amazon has great reviews on the Maxx and x-loop, if you guys want to research them a bit more.

AT that price you can't go wrong, but they can't be more than a polycarbonate lens with a tint. If they work for you, great. However I doubt they're polarized or have any type of ant-reflective coating.

Got some oakley's this week.

 

Got the Radar frame Crystal Black's with Fire Iridium Pitch lens which is designed for baseball.

 

They are comfortable so far, will be interesting to see how I like them on the field.

My Oakleys of choice for the baseball field right now are the Fast Jackets. Love them! Would never wear anything but Oakleys.

I tried the x-loop a few days ago and didn't like them.  Things looked a bit magnified.

 

The Maxx HD I would HIGHLY recommend.  Those are the ones I wore all last year.

Transitions are available in Oakleys. I haven't seen them yet in "off the shelf" Oakley frames, but an optician who is an authorized Oakley dealer can order Transition lenses to go into almost all  Oakley frames...Both Rx and non Rx. They work well outside. They get dark grey in the sun, and they will get almost clear inside. I don't own a pair, so I'm not sure what the lenses might do under the lights in a night game. My guess would be they stay rather clear. If you buy them and plan on using them as sunglasses in you car..DON'T DO IT. Transitions will not change behind the windshield of you car. UV light activates them, and your car windshield blocks those UV rays.

interesting.  I'm very intrigued on these transition lenses for the baseball field.  I have multiple lenses, but would give them up in a second if these are the real deal.
