Nice work Fittske. Of note: Hunter wears a Mizuno spider throat guard with his Wilson Ti

He hasn't been wearing it much this year....

Is that 2 balls and 5 strikes? I think the batter is saying "Blue give me one more!

Let this thread be the end-all-be-all answer to the question: What mask does (Insert MLB Umpire name here) wear??? First the stats at a glance: Frames: 30 - Wilson Dyna-Lite WTA3007 17

He called each umpire and asked them,

A company rep is always going to tell you to never modify their product. That's a CYA on his part, and a smart one.

I will chime in on this, I don't know much about equipment but the cowboy , Drake and the Gooch are wearing Wilson Ti that are powder coated black. Also, Vanover wears a Riddell.....

Have noticed a mask frame that looks like a Wilson & is black but definitely is not a Dyna Lite....I think this is being field tested:

Its definitely not a Dyna Lite - more narrow profile & bars:

It's a powder coated titanium.

Trout,

this is an equipment thread. Plate stance would be in "mechanics" ....go ahead, you can do it! :D

I thought of that, but it would probably be easier to add on than redo.

Watching NLDS-Reds/SF game 3. Gerry has the stick. He wears his TG attached to the upper bar, but outside the built in TG on the fraame. Never seen anyone do that before.

Ken, got a pic?

I've seen a couple of guys do that. The logic escapes me, as it doesn't seem to add much protection, if any.

I don't like the look and I would question the protection. If you take a hit in the throat guard, you are creating leverage through your jaw to the top of your head.

definitely changes it from a pendulum to a fulcrum. Strange
