Fittske24 522
WOW!! Please tell me this was already somewhere in cyberspace and you didn't just create it....... Nope I had to create it. It didn't take long about an hour. I used high-res images to verify the mask setups for each umpire.
rth54 17
That is alot of low profile masks!
FranklinT 101
That is alot of low profile masks! I think a lot of those listed as Chrome Moliben masks are actually Dyna Lites. For some reason I cant see it without highlighting the text. Its black on black.

Chris Hickman 209
I will chime in on this, I don't know much about equipment but the cowboy , Drake and the Gooch are wearing Wilson Ti that are powder coated black. Also, Vanover wears a Riddell.....

rth54 17
Where might I go to get my TI powder coated and how much would it cost? I will chime in on this, I don't know much about equipment but the cowboy , Drake and the Gooch are wearing Wilson Ti that are powder coated black. Also, Vanover wears a Riddell..... AZump78 110
Nice work Fittske. Of note: Hunter wears a Mizuno spider throat guard with his Wilson Ti
AZump78 110
I am by no means an expert on this, but a few things off the top of my head: Beal got let go two years ago. Tumoane also has and wears a Nike mask fairly often. Laz still wears those ugly tan All star pads (sorry Brad!) even though he switched from a all-star Ti to a Nike Ti this year. Along Hickmans comments, I think powder coating the Ti masks is the next logical wave you tweaks you will see.
Chris Hickman 209
Just Google powder coat and your city and u will see a bunch pop up. Black is a popular color and they shoot it all the time. You can get on done or no more than 40 bucks.

Umpire in Chief 1,650
I have noticed that guys seem to have a couple or maybe just try another out. There are times I don't even recognize the plate guy because of they are not wearing the mask I am accustomed to them wearing.
FranklinT 101
I will chime in on this, I don't know much about equipment but the cowboy , Drake and the Gooch are wearing Wilson Ti that are powder coated black. Also, Vanover wears a Riddell..... One of the things Ive heard about the regular Dyna-Lite masks is that the rubber coating on the bars is meant to absorb energy and slow down a ball. The titanium mask doesnt have this rubber coating on the bars. I was watching a game a few weeks ago and noticed Drake not wearing his usual Mizuno (that hes worn for a long time) and was instead sporting a black Wilson mask - but the bars appeared to be thinner than the regular Dyna Lite. This must have been it.
FranklinT 101
I will chime in on this, I don't know much about equipment but the cowboy , Drake and the Gooch are wearing Wilson Ti that are powder coated black. Also, Vanover wears a Riddell..... Have noticed a mask frame that looks like a Wilson & is black but definitely is not a Dyna Lite....I think this is being field tested: Its definitely not a Dyna Lite - more narrow profile & bars:
