I'll soon be in the market for new pants, and will probably buy a new mask in the process. I'll probably end up getting Poly-Wools, but Honigs' site is not desireable for learning anything about the masks for sell.

Does anyone have recommendations? I'm looking for something under $100 that's light and comfortable. I want the traditional mask, not HSM.

IMO, there's no reason to buy a titanium mask any longer. The light weight, hollow tube steel frames are nearly as light, and 1/3 the cost. The aluminum Diamond, or magnesium frames are also as light.

I'd seriously look at Honig's K94 setup, with the light frame and Team Wendy pads, for $76. Add a sun shield, throat protector and shipping, and you're near your price point. That's a tough rig to beat at any price.

With most light weight masks, you're going to need to replace the worthless pads anyways. Why not start with quality stuff?

I have seen several MiLB guys using the new Honigs mask.....and the Wendy pads are great. I thing Honigs will super-size your order to BIGGY fries and a chocolate frosty with every Team Wendy purchase!!!!

I had a Honigs K94 mask. I really liked the shape of it. It is a touch bigger than the standard. I highly recommend this if you are in the market. It is not a featherweight but, it is significantly lighter than a Wilson Dyna Lite. Being a single bar the vision is very good. I wore it for the Fall season. The standard calf shin pads are nice.

The only reason I sold it was I got a heck of a deal on an All-Star FM25TI. At one point this spring I had 7 masks. I sold 4 of them and I have only worn 2 this season.

i have the diamond silver lightweight mask.,..i have extra pads and was going to switch the diamond ones for my pos pads or wilson ...i never did and have worn my diamond silver mask behind the dish for 15 games now..i have no problems whatsoever with these pads..i ve taken two vicious shots and have felt absolutely nothing.. i also have a goatee and the pads do not bother me,.,.ive read alot of guys saying change those worthless pads..but as far as im concerned the pads are fine...i love this mask ...very light and the pads on them are very good to me...btw the vicious shots i got hit with were in the 85mph range...just my two cents worth...

Just personal experience. I took a shot to the jaw with the original pads in a little kids game, and actually felt the frame hit me through the padding. Straight shots are fine, as the energy is spread out evenly, It's those side shots that hurt. At the jaw, or on the forehead, just off center.

If you're considering not ordering w/ Honigs, as I'm not sure they carry this ....but this is SUPER light, and very comfy!!

That's my first choice, but can't find a supplier online. I don't mind going with separate companies, but it does save on shipping if they're from the same.

To quote my favorite big box office supply retailer "That was easy".

I also have this mask and really like it a lot.

I have a brand new, unused Wilson Dyna Lite with black amara suede pads Im looking to unload. If interested, we can discuss over PM.

I have ordered from these guys before and everything went very smoothly. This may be a drop-shipped item which adds a couple of days to the hipping time but, its the best price out there. Alternatively, try Rex at between the Lines, he will price match, i believe. I think he may also drop ship.

Any experience with them?

Any experience with them?

I ordered this mask from there about 3 weeks ago. I originally just wanted the LUC pads for an All Star FM25 mask I already had but decicded to go ahead and pay $30 more and get this mask instead after reading some of the positive feedback on here. I ordered on a Thursday evening in hopes I would have it for a high visiblity game I was working the following Thursday. I also ordered the All Star visor ( which does not fit this mask for those wondering) and a pro grade wood bat I wanted for the cage. On the following Monday I received a phone call saying they didn't have the bat I ordered but would still acknowledge the free shipping. They said the mask was gonna be shipping from All Star in MA, so I gave up on the fact that I would have if for my Thursday game. Well I waited and wated and finally the mask arrived two weeks after I ordered it. I was disappointed in shipping time as I though 7 days was realistic for time when the mask arrived 14 days after I ordered it. Mask is awesome. Prob best value on the market, lightweight and I love the LUC pads, although I have yet to wear it bc I 've chose to wear other mask the two times I've had the plate since it arrived. Mask is great and I have no regrets ordering it even though I prob didn't need it, althoug I will prob be selling one of my mask tomorrow. This will be my go to mask for HS & up oppressive heat games

I tried top post this earlier, but it didn't get on:

I believe you are underselling the titanium mask. None of these masks protect as well as the Ti at the weight of the Ti. It's still the best until I see data that shows differenlty!

If you mean protect, as in it will bend (absorb energy), as opposed to my silver Diamond, I grant you that.

I have a silver Honig's K-4 frame that I like very much. It is light enough, has a terrific view, and, after i got used to the look of the cap guard... looks pretty cool as well. I had Wendy pads in it ...and the Wendy pads are very nice, but, in this frame, nothing fits and feels as nice as the Wilson traditional, (non- wraparound) pads. They just seem to fit my ugly mug perfectly.
