  1. Happy studying guys. 2014_LHSAA_BASEBALL_STUDY_GUIDE_L.pdf
  2. I watched the game as well and that's what it appeared to be. I"m an LSU grad and the SEC tourney might be one of my favorite sporting events to watch each year. Might sound crazy, but winning the SEC tourney this year might be harder than winning the CWS.
  3. May Champion is a bit dated (prob 5 + years old and lots of wear). Where is the best current place to purchase a new one?
  4. Got the problem resolved. When I received the pads they were contoured or 'U'ed in the wrong direction. I assumed this was the direction they were intended to be placed in the frame. I contacted Team Wendy and was informed that they may have been bent they way during handling and molded into that form during the cold weather prior to shipment. It was a simple fix, I was pretty sure this was the case, just wanted to hear from them in order to remove the actuality that I received a manufacturered defect. I love the pads, received a prompt call from Team Wendy and will be purchasing the black pads in the future to complement my tan ones.
  5. +1 Thats how I do it atleast. That's the case. The opening of the harness is facing the front of the frame and there is no opening facing the rear of the frame, I just somehow managed to word that in as long a way as possible.I believe I may have a manufactured defect, just wanted to make sure I wasn't going crazy and that wasn't a stock feature from Team Wendy. I spent about 3 hours last night b/w trying to find a suitable pic for comparison anywhere online and trying to find a way to make it work with the harness opening facing inward and no opening on the backside lol
  6. It took me awhile, but I finally figured out how to take a picture with my iphone and upload it to this forum. I feel like a duntz more ways than one now. Hope this pic can better describe what I was able to earlier.
  7. Since the male part of the velcro strap on the pads comes from the top to the bottom, unlike any other pads I own, I am unable to bring the harness through the middle strap. I have to loop it arouhd the frame, which renders the slip on the lower female part of the velcro useless. Maybe i'm missing something, just never encountered velcro straps like these
  8. Guys I have a question about the velcro placement on these pads. i have 6 mask with 6 different pads. These are the first pads I own where the male part of the velcro comes from the top of the mask to the bottom of the mask. How did you loop the harness through the middle part of the pads? The only way I can do it makes the velcro obsolete since there is no slot for the harness to go through the pads.
  9. I've got this mask and love it, especially during the oppressive South Louisiana summers. I was ok with the factory LUC pads, they are lightweight and seem to provide ample protection. . I have TEam Wendy pads and am overjoyed with that purchase but placed them on a FM25 mask I acquired from a previous employer. Can't go wrong with the mask, think I paid $45 w/ free shipping
  10. DO NOT ORDER FROM POSTAL UNIFORM. After combing this website several years ago on a belt thread, I went ahead and took advantage of the low price for a back up belt. My first belt didn't even make it one game. I went to tighten it ant the belt ripped in half. I immediately returned it and they sent me another one. Then second belt lasted all of one game and ripped upon applying it to my person the 2nd time i went to put it on. The report I'm looking at on my desk now has a higher tensile strength than the two belts they sent me combined. I returned the belt and had them send me a check in the mail. I've never had a problem with any belt from Honig's. Good advice on the patent leather for working the dish, i"m gonna have to try that.
  11. Let the discussion begin: http://lhsaa.org/upl...UDY_GUIDE_L.pdf
  12. You can add me to the list of over indulgent shopper when it comes to shoes since I also recently purchased the Zigs from BS. The code did not work today, but still a great deal even a t $35 and I can doublle both the Zigs and Mizuno's for football ( that's me trying to justify both purchases even though I didn't need either!)
  13. Per recommendation of some on this site, I purchased the ESS Crossbows and Suppressors and have been very satisfied. I also have Easton's I like when working the dish because of their lower profile.
  14. Like that back handed complement to close out that thought !
  15. Nice work Sdix. Just copied to a word document and printed to keep in my gear bag
  16. I got the FM 2000 from baseball plus store for $45. Great value for a mask. Lightweight and love the LUC pads for South Louisiana heat. That is a very good price on the 4000
  17. wonder if this is the guy who said he was looking to unload it in the sizing thread?
  18. Ordered the crosswire and the suppressor frames along with smoke and copper lenses. I have a pair of Easton's I've been very satfisfied with from Ump-Attire, but time to put a new pair in the rotation and always nice to have a back up. I've never had a site cost me so much, yet save me so much money. Thanks for sharing. Look forward to getting them and trying them out
  19. agreed. received mine several weeks ago. still been using my NB's for every game this season but may break them out tomorrow. This will be my first low cut plate shoe and look forward to trying them
  20. Solid post as usual Kev Did you inform him he will gain more street cred on this forum if he sports the leg guards outside his pants witha backwards cap and eye black?
  21. so that's what 'occupied' means?! thanks for clarifying. I had the answer right when I explained it to him originally, just wanted to come on here for clariification
  22. I also have nothing but an error on the pitcher as long as he steps toward an occupied 3rd, other runners may advance. I thought 3rd had to be occupied in order to feint there, which is what the pitcer was attempting ?
  23. Runners on third and first, pitcher trys the third to first pick off move. As he steps to third the ball slips and goes directly to the ground and rolls acrosses the foul line between home and third. runner on first steals second. what do you have? Question brought up by a fellow umpire. I have nothing if a fielder was in position to receive the pick off throw unless ball goes into dead ball territory
  24. Nice. Thanks for sharing. We start playing ball down here tomorrow. Weather is gonna be pretty nasty this weekend looks like though w/ the low pressure system in the gulf
  25. you goint to the Southern Clinic in ATL?
