    I have 2 pair of the new Smitty Polyspandex charcoal grey pants. Both plate and base. 34 waist and hemmed for 30 but that can be redone. Brand new. Never worn.Tags still on them. I'll send pics by request. $100 shipped.

    Any advice for a successful competent varsity umpire who would like to move on to the next level-college? Im just wondering if any of you who do work college would be willing to share your story on how you got the opportunity. Also any clinic recommendations that can get someone in front of a couple college assigners. Thanks

    What is considered the proper position for U2 when the infield is in? Stay put in C? Deep C? Behind the players? I have looked in CCA Manuel under 2 man and can't find it.

    My association uses CCA mechanics and with R1 we stand in a "deep" B. We stand almost literally in the baseline between 1st and 2nd. When R1 steals you take one step up and turn toward second. It's an outstanding angle in which to make the call.

    I can not thank you enough for the advice and support. It was encouraging and I was truly looking forward to the game this evening Then the sky opened up and it hasn't stopped. Hilarious. Rescheduled for Thursday. Thanks again.

    I tell myself that and sometimes it does work. I have steadily advanced in my association and I am honored to get the type of assignments I get. But sometimes I get pre game anxiety that I at times take on the field. Especially if I got the plate. It's crazy. I love the plate. How do you get into umpiring if you don't like the plate? Frustrated.
