No. They made the smaller gear bag. I guess it is really popular in japan. Other than that they had the HSM mask there. They had to get testing done and some other copyright deals done before they released it I believe. That's why the delay until March.

 

Nice! I've been waiting for a smaller gear bag but everyone seems to want you to carry your life around in the damn things.

I'd have to look at it and measure it on it's own merits. I'm not overly loyal to any manufacturer/brand. Of what I have seen, I think the MVP 4000 is the best on the market right now. But I'd love to look at anything. 

 

I'm a different type of gear junkie than many of you. I like looking at equipment feeling it out. But I am not one to pull the trigger unless I must but something.

Unless Force3 is going to test their helmet like All-Star does .... I'd stick w/ your initial decision on the MVP 4000

In my opinion, and I am no expert, the force 3 is similar to the mask. Uses the same shock absorbers. Looked good. I still think the All Star and Wilson look better. But that is my opinion.

That's an average of more than two a day! How is that even possible?!

Well, there's baseball for most of the year, I'm guessing during high school season you can do a 4PM HS game and a 7 or 8 PM rec game? Then there's weekend tourneys where 4+ games a day are not uncommon. Granted, averaging 14-15 games a week is pretty crazy, but I guess it's possible.

The most I ever heard of a man doing is 450. And I thought that was a lot.

I've worked over 350 a year the last three years in Kansas and Missouri. Start in late January. Finish in mid-November. During college and high school season I will work around 10-12 games a week. Weekends in the summer I have worked as many as 18 showcase games in 3 days. One week I worked 26 games in 7 days straight. From a Sunday to a Sunday I worked 33. That's crazy but I've done it. All 90' baseball. It's incentive to stay in good shape. That's for sure.

I am right around 400 games for the year. I also work a more then fulltime job. It's too many games for a number of reasons. The guy Majordave was working with when he was out here is a fulltime official. In addition to all the baseball he does, he also does football, softball and one or two other sports. I've worked Sunday night Men's league games with him that are his 8th and 9th games of the day. In June, in Phoenix. He's been maintaining that type of schedule for years. We have so much baseball here that I work with a bunch of guys that are professional amateur umpires. They may be retired or work part time at something but primary they are umpires. So my want is for guys working all those games to be safe. My need is for more guys to join the brotherhood.

The most in a stretch I did was 35 games in 10 days. I had 2 days off in between, Worked 4 days, 2 days off worked 4 more days. That was a Haul.
