  1. I have been trying to give back my job as UIC for the last 2 years to no avail. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. I think where we are blessed the most is, The Serious Talent always is willing to give back to the ones that are still climbing the ladder.
  3. Our Rate will be $79 for JV or lower, $80 for Varsity and $70 for two man JV.
  4. I really want a Spider. But I can't seem to find one. Would love to get a Shovel too but I want a Spider more. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  7. I do some Assigning and my standard rule is, if the game gets cancelled before the first pitch but less than 1 1/2 hours before the first pitch due to rain, field conditions etc. it is 1/2 game fee. If game is a forfeit or the coach books 2 sets of umpires then you get the full game fee. Before 1 1/2 hours you get nothing. Sometimes that means guys are already in the road to the field but it is what I have negotiated and most seem to be good with it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. As I am staying at a Hyatt Place in Garland Tx, I am very glad of the upgrade to the new Hotel that the BBUC made. This is a great Hotel. I will be back for my 2nd year at the BBUC 3 man camp and can't say enough great things about it. Great camp, great instructors. And most of all great umpires to work with. If you are even thinking of attending, you should go. You will not be disappointed. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. I have been a UIC for our local Pony League for the last 3 years. It has had its ups and downs but it has steadily improved. The best advice I can give you is, like the others have said, be a sounding board for the umpires. Let them handle the game as its being played out. Never interfere unless they ask you to and simply explain to them that this is their game and you will answer any and all questions f on the coaches and umpires after the game has finished. Also you will have to get rid of umpires. Unfortunately some will be jealous that you got the job and they didn't or they won't respect you. They won't think you are ready or that you are good enough. When I took over I had to can 20 of our 35 umpires my first season. But now I am back up to 35 and expect to have 40+ by the end of this year. Always make sure the umpires know you have their back. And last but certainly not least. Enjoy the game and your job. If you don't then it is not worth doing it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Great Call Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. CWS

I can vouch as well. I was there last year and will be back again this year. I wish I was half as good as any of these Umpires working the CWS. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. This has to be a Joke.
  13. Yeah I pack for the day and that's it. I take everything out of my car when I get home. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. I will be at BBUC or I could just drive to your house and get it?
  15. I have ordered from +POS on 3 separate occasions and have had ZERO problems with them. Just ordered a ZRO-G mask from them about a month ago. And I received it in less than a week. I guess I am lucky Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
