Holladay looked safe in real speed, .....close, but he was indeed safe upon replay review .....

 

but ... why does Carpenter NOT score ??

Carpenter is only about 20 feet off of 3rd, it appears, when the call is made. Hard to conclusively score him on that, I think.

He's running, but he's starting from second.  On a clean play in the infield, no way a runner from second scores (or at least not enough that you're going to award him home on this play.)

I understand .......they were discussing it last night on the broadcast .........thought it may be a decent discussion point

Carpenter is easily out at home if F3 makes even a decent throw.

Even as a Cardinal fan I have to agree with this.
