Well my pair arrived about 30 minutes ago , tried them on right out of the box . Initial observations are light weight , 8 air vent holes per lg , knee (patella) padding is adequate , not as much as the AS lg 1000/2000 or pro 9 , ankle flap similar to pro 9 , the rest of the padding is thinner . the knee and shin padding are all one piece , that can be adjusted , pad is attached with velcro . Im not sure what material the pads are made of . I dont under stand why they chose 16.5 size over the more standard 17 size , which is what i would have preferred . I have a U18 9 inning gm tonight , can you say test drive !!

note , i have not tried these on yet with plate pants/shoes , so the real test as to whether they will fit my legs will be later or tonight .

I tried them on , with plate pants/shoes and they may be a bit too short . 17" is better size , for my legs .

see photo side x side with the davis/wilson LG , which seems to be my best fit and comfort of all LG i have tried .

Just received mine too. I had the same thought about 16 1/2 vs 17". I'm debating returning them for the 17 1/2. I have to  try them on with my plate shoes and see how it fits, but they're not going to get games tested until March  :TD:

If that magic material is good enough to protect my sturnum(that protects my heart from injury), why can't it protect my shins and knees? It can protect my ribs, but not my collarbone?

Is it just me?

Congratulations guys. To prove the cliche "to each their own," my first thought is…that is what we've been waiting for?!  Think Evans will take one for promotional services?

Not sure why the negativity. I had a pair of diamond feather weights and liked the low profile and weight. Protection wasn't great, and when the knee pad cracked at the rivet a few weeks ago, it was time to upgrade. I didn't buy them expecting some new development that protects better than anything we've ever seen, I simply bought a product that I thought was an upgrade over what I had, with the light weight, and low profile characteristics I liked in the Diamonds.

Sorry for being negative.  Just surprised that Force 3 discovered the flux capacitor and how to increase their bottom line.

Well, like I said, I wasn't expecting anything earth-shattering. Just a new pair of shins that were light weight/low profile, competitively priced and better than I had previously.

How do you like the Davishins?  I just got a pair.

The Davis shins are my favorite by far . with only two straps very comfortable !!

the next size up is 18.5 too big for my legs , 17-17.5 would be ideal though !!

Guess I'll be sticking with the 16 1/2. For some reason I thought the next size were 17 1/2. 18.5 too big for me too.

Not sure why the negativity. I had a pair of diamond feather weights and liked the low profile and weight. Seems anything to do with Force 3 Unequal brings out the negative bandwagon. I'll be getting these shin guards in the near future. I have seen posts in the past about why does Force 3 have hard plastic on the outside if they have protection on the inside? The good ol' wow factor. And the bottom line increase comment? I believe that's what the reason for having a business is.

The Force 3 gives you as much protection in the collarbone area as any other protector, you just have to wear it properly. As with other protectors, if it is not worn where it is supposed to be worn you can get damaged. I mean, was there no fracturing of the collarbone before the Force 3 arrived?

Yeah, yeah, but do they come with the ball-repellent force-shield found in the chest protector?

Cuz if they do, then it don't matta' how you wears it.

I'm thinking the repellent must be installed. We haven't had one report of a baseball striking the shin guards. May the Force be with you.

For the record i have no negative comments about the force 3 LG , they just don't fit my legs good enough for $100.00+ shipping . simple as that . a 17"or 17.5" would work , not 16.5" though .

Unfortunately, I can pretty much guarantee there won't be a ball striking my shin guards for about 4 1/2 months

I'm not sure I see anything negative in this thread.  Aside from the VERY LOGICAL question from  KyleJT, but I wouldn't call that negative, ...I'd call that a valid inquiry

Kyle hasn't changed a bit, and his viewpoint on the UE hasn't either

Santa arrived earlier this afternoon, but he was dressed as a Fed Ex delivery man for some reason. He also has lost quite a bit of weight, shaved his beard and changed his name to Jose. Am I the only one to find this peculiar? Anyway, he brought me a new pair of Red Ryder bb gun Force 3 Unequal shin guards with a carrying bag and a compass in the straps. I tried them on and wore them for an hour or so. Guys, these are impressive. Very impressive. And as soon as I walked down the street in only a nutty buddy and shin guards my wife made me take them off and come back in the house. Merry Christmas to all of my fellow umpires.
