I like how the announcer says "Joe West was right there to see it" when from his angle he couldn't tell if the contact was over the stands or over the field.  The umpire should have been closer to the stands on this.

From the replay it looked as though JW had sufficient angle to see this, but I agree he could have had a better position on it.

I can't believe he made it as far as he did...and he even "Semi" Banged him out....I'm impressed! 

 

All that being said, it was a very good call...
