Exactly my problem. If it gets cold enough to have a thermabase jacket on, my plate umpire will probably have a jacket on too (no one has long sleeves around here) and we probably wont match. But when it's not heavy coat weather, I wouldn't mind wearing a a polo blue black jacket by Smitty or Rex at BTL or Honigs. But if they had a black with white inserts thermabase, then I would match... thus, I would buy.

I might be interested in one of the Majestic jackets next spring. I could not locate those jackets on the Anaconda website though. The weather here in the northeast can be downright bone chilling during April and May. I have a old +POS jacket that has some lining and that is warmer than the Smitty jacket that I have. I just hate the thought of buying a $$$ therma base jacket in navy. We can wear black outside of the HS season. I would like to see us ditch the navy and powder blue but, I don't think that is very likely to happen soon.

I am looking into having the majestic inserts replaced with a color combo that my association uses. I am talking to it with my seamstress to see if it will be possible to take the inserts from another jacket and have them switched out on the Majestic.

You think Majestic will put out a white insert verson? They never have had one in the past so why would they offer one now? If they do that would be great! If they do, I bet the white/black insert would be diffrent than any other version out today. :GL:

I just ordered both a cool base and a Therma base from anaconda...total damage for both (including shipping) 133 and change. Nice!... Kudos to Chris for the hookup!

I owned one and sold it to a partner. It was a standard black with white/black/white inserts.

Majestic made a black jacket w/ blk-wht stripes in the 2004-2005ish era. I own one. It is a standard jacket. They are long since gone. Nice jacket though....BTW, best jacket ever made???? Logo Athletic circa 1998. Love it!! Dont wear it much, but love it.

No; it was several years old like Chris's.

My post was a response to Fittske's comment that he believed that Majestic had not put one out with that type of trim, and Chris and I both had one. (Mine had a breast pocket for use as a plate jacket, but I never wear a jacket behind the dish. I only wear it on the bases, and it was too big for that. Sold it to a brother for less than cost, and it was never even worn. Great jacket.)

Too big ..... Majestics stuff runs big, ...they size their stuff to accommodate gear underneath, so ...if you wear an XL shirt, say, to work.....you'd order an XL umpire shirt /jacket from Majestic...

From what NuBlu says, it' wasn't a matter of what sizing Majestic might use or not use, it's that he simply ordered the wrong size.

I have the following "new" stuff from Majestic: ThermaBase jacket (L); CoolBase jacket (L) and an MLB plate jersey which is marked on the tag "Spring 2011" also in (L).

All of these items are sized appropriately, from what I can tell. None of them are bigger or smaller than the "L" size would indicate. Do note that the ThermaBase jacket is cut slightly larger so that it will fit over a CP, but it's far from falling into the XL category.

FYI: I'm 5'11 and 185, and all these items fit me properly.

Six even and 196, here, and I wear a L on the bases and an XL behind the dish. Majestic is the only brand I have in L.

Their XL jacket was huge; I couldn't wear it on the bases, which is the only time I wear one. I have an XL +POS and it fits like a Majestic L would fit: not too tight; not too loose.

I did obviously order the wrong size. Like kevin, I also wear XL in just about everything else, but,for me, the Majestics run large. The XL was certainly too big for me to wear on the bases, which is also when i am most likely to wear a jacket.
