Thank you all for your help. Since I am not concerned about uniforms in this bag, I ordered the original Motherload. I used the provided code and got mine for $142.55.

Thanks again. I appreciate the support.

Today only, EM120NB. Until 11pm PST.  25%off

Manny call customer no service so they adjust your purchase price.

Thanks for the heads up! I just called customer service at eBags. They are processing the difference and it will be refunded to me!

Thank you very much Kanedog! I appreciate you looking out for me(us).

The current deal (sale price plus coupon for a total of about $133) is the cheapest I've seen. But unless you need it right now I'd be tempted to wait until Black Friday. Looks like they did a 30% off coupon last year on Black Friday.

I received my Motherlode today. Nice bag. I will have to look and see how y'all packed it to get it right. So many compartments in this thing. Hopefully I installed those fiberglass rods correctly. No instructions and online guide sucks.

I assume you checked the video on the eBags website on the Motherlode product page with information on how to install the rods. I believe mine actually came with written instructions too.

In my bag, top compartment has chest protector, shins, mask and shoes (each shoe in a shoe bag), it's tight but they're all there.

Bottom divided into 3 compartments.

1. Shirts and pants are folded and sorted by color into eBags packing cubes. (6 shirts, 2 pants)

2. Folded jacket, socks, undershirts and a towel

3. cap caddy, cup, toiletry bag for indicators, pens and other extra stuff.

Then in the mesh pockets above the bottom compartment I have ball bags. Side pockets used for rule books and to pack a laundry bag.

I think that's everything, did it off the top of my head.

Thanks! I will be getting a full suit bag for the pants, shirts, jackets, etc. All my uniforms are dry cleaned and pressed. I absolutely despise a wrinkled uniform.

It was a good deal, but let me add these thoughts. I ordered the 29" that's not the v2.0. I was swayed by the difference in size 7569 cu in. v. 6729 cu. in., the v2.0 being smaller.

When I got the bag, my wife looked at it and said "your stuff is not going to fit". She's right in some ways. First it doesn't look like the ump13's pictures on page 1.

It is not as "rectangular" and that end pocket where his mask goes it now a much smaller "quick access" pocket. My shoes do fit in the top sides, but the really impinge on the size of the top compartment.

With my 17" shins in the top compartment, my WV Gold really didn't fit well. I'll put my equipment in the bottom compartment, but with shins that makes the dividers pointless.

It is then I realized that the bag size is 7569 cu in. with the expanding gussets open. Without, the bag is only 6044 cu in. smaller than the v2.0, these measurements from the ebags web site.

The gussets opening won't matter for me as my equipment is in the bottom - they don't help the top.

I'll keep it as I'm a uniform-on-hangers guy, life-time warranty, well made, but I am a little disappointed.

Yes Thunder that's the link! The one on the previous page is for the bag that is NOT 2.0 and didn't work for me.

thanks!

I like my Evans Force3 bag, but I think it needs more room.  Sounds like you cats are getting EVERYTHING in that bad-boy!

I Switched from the Evans Force3 to the one you linked late last season. I like the Ebags bag better, but it really does not hold more IMHO. In the top I have shins, CP, HSM, and Traditional mask. In the bottom I have base and plate shoes, New Era Large cap keeper, Ditty Bag with brushes, indicators, etc. Hairspray, Febreeze, Murphy's spray and other incidentals. I use the zipper pockets in-between the two layers for ball bags and under garments.

I love the wheels and the handle. Very happy with the bag, but it won't give you noticeably more usable space than the Force3

If anybody is thinking about getting one of the 2.0's, today would be a good day. I'm seeing them on sale and then EMA8LUGSR coupon knocks it down to $119.99 shipped. I have the original model and sticking with it, but some prefer the 2.0. I received an email with the info so wanted to pass it along.
