I was PU in this game. I asked @johnnyg08 to help me out and post this play for feedback from this community. Yes, the head coach gave me an earful, but he never crossed the line. I was curious to hear different opinions. Good teaching example at least.

I ordered a size 12 EE from UA which is my normal shoe size. Shoe was too big and had to return for the 11.5 EE shoe. The free return is great. Take advantage of it! I think the biggest improvement of the NB shoe is that interior "sock". Really seems to form to your foot.

Get the new style New Balance. Superior shoe.

I got in wrong first time taking the test. During study session with other umpires it was decided that the pitcher could also feint to 3B, making the answer true.

I'm wearing that thermal jacket out on the bases during that bitter cold though! US Bank Stadium baseball starts Feb 24 this season. Very jealous of you guys in Arizona! Enjoy it!

I won't wear a jacket on the plate. Long sleeved shirt works with a good base layer. 30's, wind and snow...bring it!

I switched to the v2 this summer. I was concerned with the weight at first. After wearing the v2 for the first time, you become used to it. Took a foul ball off the mask during a D1 inter squad game. I assumed it was a slight glancing blow because I didn't feel anything. However, the catcher kept asking if I was ok. I'm very happy with the upgrade.

Received the Gerry Davis PW's the other day. First impressions...same exact color and feel of the Honig's PW's. After reading reviews, I ordered one size up from my Honig's's PW's. Thank you. 36 in Honig's equals 38 in GD PW. This is exactly what I needed. Very comfortable fit with the expandable waistband. Just turned the pants over to my personal tailor. Mom says she'll have them done in a few days. first games of 2016 start tomorrow. Yes, outdoor baseball in Minnesota, in February! Can't wait!

I saw the exact play you are describing. The umpires screwed the call up. R2 should've been awarded home on this play. I was very surprised nothing was said on the field.

I was saying B/R gets 3B because he was short of 2B in your OP. If the B/R was shot by a sniper from a window in the closed concession stand and short of 1B when this high pop up fell, then by all means keep him at 2B. I definitely saw the B/R reach 1B before the throw was made though.

R1 scores, BR at 3rd. And no, it doesn't matter which fielder threw the ball.

Experience is the best teacher. Along with partners willing to give you good, honest feedback. Try to take something from each partner every time out. Some advice will work, some won't. Be solid on the fundamentals.

There has to be a throw. If it's 20 feet over F3/F4 head at 1B, in FED, it's interference if B/R is outside the runners lane. Last step can be inside though, while trying to reach 1B.

Please don't tell a batter to keep both feet in the batter's box between pitches.

I was in the "legal slide" camp on the initial, CF camera angle. The dugout camera angle does a better job of showing the runner going to the inside of 2B to contact the pivot man. The defensive team dugout was calling for immediately. Great call, HUGE spot. Correct call.

There was some debate here on the call based on the original camera angle. This new angle shows the call in a much more obvious view. Just a simple tip of the hat for making a great call, at a very critical junction of the game.

The dugout camera gives a great look at it. Terrific call!
