A FORCE PLAY is a play in which a runner legally loses his right to occupy a base by reason of the batter becoming a runner. That was not the case here. It is an appeal play, R3 scored prior to the appeal at second and therefore, the run scores

How is this NOT interference? It isn't in IFF situation. The base shouldn't protect R2

After watching that video twice, I am "certain beyond any doubt that the fielder deliberately threw the glove and that it hit the ball." I would have awarded 3 Bases. The umpires kicked this one.

Also, that pitchers hat falling off on every pitch is annoying. CUT THOSE DREADS!!!

Magic Eraser works well too, but do it outside because those things turn into a mess (they basically disintegrate). You'll go through a lot of them if that is the sole method you use. I use one about once a month to really get them clean, and then use scrubbing bubbles in between magic eraser uses.

Scrubbing bubbles .. spray a very tiny amount on and rub it all around the white parts .. then take a wash cloth and remove the excess cleaner. They will be sparkly clean

​I don't think there is a rule that prohibits umpires from wearing it. You should paint up next game, and take pics!

FOOTBALL .. not baseball .. The players can come out if full clown make-up if they want (unless you as the umpire find it distracting)

Who umpires the scrimmages? If the schools where you are don't normally have scrimmages umpired, I bet they'd love it if you volunteered. We are required to work three scrimmages each year to be eligible for high school assignments.

I had the plate tonight, 3A, JV Game. Good game, VT won 4-1, 7 full innings in an hour and 30 minutes. I did have a situation. It only happened a few times, but it got me thinking. I had a mommy up in the stands letting the batters of the home team know where the catcher was setting up. VT pitcher was good, he was really hitting his spots. She would say "he's inside" or "the catcher's lined up outside" It only happened two or three times throughout the game, but it got me thinking. Is this against any rule? Could I put a stop to something like this?

What if, for instance, they slide with their hands up. The SS or 2B come across and the throw hits R1 in the hands? Interference?
