Does anybody actually buy these?

I had two rolled steel +Pos masks earlier in my career that served me well. Both got bent on wicked shots and I moved on to the Nike Ti. Is there any reason to believe the +Pos Ti is of lesser quality than the Nike?

It was the best selling piece of new umpire equipment we've had in years after the first week.

Can you compare the quality or manufacturing processes to the Nike or Wilson Ti masks?

We're pretty excited they are back, and glad they chose us to partner with.  They have some pretty cool stuff in the works that will be coming out in the next year (the titanium mask was just the first).  The Cobra v2 (in development) looks pretty awesome and innovative. Upgraded leg guards as well (the current low profile are good, but more of a starter leg guard).  As for the frame, I've never personally seen the Nike - from the pictures they do look like the same template, but I'll leave it to you guys to scrutinize the fine details.  When compared to the Wilson, I think the +POS frame is slightly lighter (by an oz. or so).  I feel like the welds on the +POS are a little cleaner too for a little sharper look.  Having the titanium frame in black is a nice new option (that's been our best seller since they arrived).  I think it is a very high quality mask, and once they get the leather pads to us (a few more weeks), we'll have a pretty good titanium alternative to the Wilson.  +POS knows their quality will be scrutinized so they are very focused on making sure their high end products meet the standards we've come to expect from them.

Hi Pat,

Is this the same frame template as the Nike?  It looks identical and weight is the same it seems. I’m glad you guys bought +POS!

Thanks!

Was confused by this. Did Purchase Officials Supplies (also coincidentally POS) buy the +POS name because the acronym is ironically the same (long time umpires remember +POS was Parsons Officials Supplies and hard to believe they used to be the official supplier for MiLB).

Will they also be bringing back the old +POS sweater?😂

I got a black frame only, and I have a Nike.  They seem, on appearance, to be the same. Put them side by side and they were the same, and a nice black paint coating. Didn’t weigh them but felt very similar.
