this reminds me of last season when the VT was down 2-1 in ninth, R1 and R3, no outs, and I called FPSR on a clear violation and was asked by the coach “how can you call that in the ninth inning of a close game?”

Well, please refer me to the section that says a rule shall only be enforced when it won’t impact a game.

Batter has 15 seconds out of the P allotted 20 to get in the box, leaving the P 5 seconds, seems like a fair deal for the batters.  If they violate it, it’s on them

seeing as how he was the same one to enforce this on @zoops OP on March 30 from the Florida State vs Florida game from March 29, this is no surprise. so, if you wanted to think about it, that gave all teams in the SEC fair warning that the call will be enforced and i bet dollars to doughnuts they all heard about it. and if something was wrong with it (like don't call that, or don't call that except in the first 3 innings, but not the last 3, or do not call that in crucial situations) by chance, i am sure that crew would have heard about it, as would all the umpires and teams in what i believe would be called a urgent memo.

now, since the rules committee it looks like from 2021 has 9 school or conference members and only 1 umpire representative (Bruns, they had none in 2013), i am sure if they want to change, tweek or whatever this rule, they can do so after the season. maybe they will write this to say only in non-important situations only. so what would be the definition of non important, kind of like a code violation and you better be able to read minds to see what each coach considers non-important, and what if their definition of non-important is different from yours or the other coach. do you negotiate non-important definition at the plate before the game until both coaches are happy with that days definition of non-important.

PS--average time of game for the series was 3:06 versus MLB average from 2021 of 3:10. no games went extra innings and no game went into the bottom of the ninth.

No issue.

I am and will be doing my best with the LL'rs this year to keep one foot in the box if I see them out for more that a 3 count I will be talking to them to get one foot in the box.  I am tired of doing 2 hour games that only make 4 innings 🤣

I guess my only concern would be whether this was the FIRST time this was called in the game, and whether this was the first time it COULD have been called in the game. 

If the rule had been violated the entire game, but only called 1x in a high-leverage situation, I would think this would feel particularly unfair.

With all of the emphasis on the clock this year and the bulletin that came out a couple weeks ago, I'm guessing these guys are keeping a pretty close eye on it.  Doubtful that it had been violated earlier in the game, but I didn't watch the game.
