If you don't have your heart set on the Prizm Field but want some great deals on Oakley's go to Sportsman's Outdoor Superstore.  The link below just has a sampling, but you can search for all Oakley's as well.  Put "OAKLEY" in the coupon code after adding it to your cart and you'll get a huge discount.  For example, the Radar EV Path with Deep Water Blue Prizm Polarized lens go from $242 down to $130!!!! (I wish the Path fit me better than the Pitch - seems like a lot more places carry Path, and even on Oakley.com there are more Path choices in the Radar EVs.)

Also, for really bright days the Prizm Black Polarized are awesome!  If they had them for replacement lenses in Pitch I would have got some, but got the Deep Water instead.

This works for all Oakley's on their site as far as I know guys!

https://www.sportsmansoutdoorsuperstore.com/search.cfm?kword=oakley+radar

The Path have a curved bottom, while the Pitch is more straight and more coverage - here's how the Deep Water look in Pitch, not the Path (the stock Oakley photos don't do a good job showing how the lens looks):

I use Oakley Flak 2.0 with Prizm lenses--love them. I have a pair of clear ones for night games (I want to always do what I can to keep things out of my eye).

If you're a veteran, Oakley has military discounts--usually around 40-50% off MSRP.

I get my glasses from that site.  Really good deals.

Yellow lenses are a game changer! I wear them in low light and it really brightens everything up.

I've actually started using them for work on rainy (which TOTALLY never happens up here) or at night to cut the glare of oncoming headlights.

YES!  Sometimes used for shooting too!  Another reason I wanted to go w/ the Flak 2.0 XL because they have HUNDREDS of lenses for them, and a low light version might be something to consider

I use yellow lenses when shooting, but hadn't thought of them for on the field. I'll have to try yellow for next year.

I used them on the field before anything else. But then thought about all the old infomercial ads I remember seeing while watching TOTALLY KID FRIENDLY late night TV back in my teens😁 and decided to give them a try while driving. It makes a world of difference. Especially on cloudy rainy days we get up this way.

You laugh, but when I was driving a couple of weeks ago, SWMBO was responding to a text for me, when an e-mail arrived with the title "Mask Porn". I had to have her click on it and follow the thread so she didn't think I was into anything overly odd.

...followed by "you umpires are weird"

Hate to revive, but stupid to start a new thread, plus, it's only a few months old ....

I just took advantage of the Oakley summer sale, ... 30% of plus $10 (for first time buyers from the Oakley site).  I've been rocking a pair of 'Split Jackets' with Oakley transition lenses which have been great, as they go clear to about 12% .  Well, I've had them for quite some time (2011?) and finally broke down and got some Prizms ....

I got the Flak 2.0 XL w/ the Prizm Road Jade lens.   The 'road' series, like the 'field', is a rose based lens that have different coatings and different VLTs (variable light transmission).  The original road lets in 20%, the road jade lets in 15%, and the road black lets in 11%.   I went w/ the road jade because it had the same VLT as the field.  I chose this over the field for aesthetics, (green/blue vs red/orange) and that I bicycle more than I umpire, so I figured this was a great blend to cover both activities.   Always wanted to try a Prizm lens, and now they're on the way!

I'll update w/ a photo when they come in :yippie::cool:

here they are ........ I rode my bike with them this morning .........fantastic!!!!!!!!!!

I have a slight astigmatism and small prescription for my right eye.  Last year I purchased the Flak 2.0s with prescription lenses in both clear and transition.  The transition lenses don't go completely clear so it looks weird when I use them for night games.  I believe they come with the Prism coating on them - even the clear ones.  I really like them when I'm on the plate.

For the field, since my vision isn't that bad, I will normally wear Maui Jim Ho'Okipa.  Fantastic sunglasses!  Very light, won't move, polarized - great performance!Sunglasses.JPG

I started wearing sunglasses from a company called Blupond for work. Mainly because I wanted a pair of yellow lenses for low light or overcast days... which we of course NEVER have here in the Pacific NW.

Got them on Amazon as a two pack (called Knight Visor) also comes with a sunvisor clip that will fit both paira. I bought the black polarized sunglasses and the he polarized yellow lenses for around $40 for the set.
