When I am working the plate (chest protector on), all of my umpire shirts become untucked during the game. Especially in front. I am tall and I wear 3XL. I tried a 4XL but it was way too baggy. I have tried Smitty, Honig's, and Champro and they are all about the same. Are there any other manufacturers that make longer shirts or even tall sizes (3XLT)?

Thanks very much for your advice.

I agree with @Aging_Arbiter, and for the plate these specifically changed the game for me. Not only keeping my shirt tucked in, but also a neat appearance for the whole game.

I ordered a set of these today.

Question: How many games does a set usually last?

It never crossed my mind that I would need them...I wrongly assumed that somebody must make longer shirts.

Thanks a lot for your help, guys.

What do you wear for an under shirt?

I had a particular issue with some of the slick "wicking- compression" shirts allowing my uni shirt to slide up ( for me its in the back )

I ordered the shirt stays but before they arrived I tried a different method.

I wear boxer briefs and when putting on my under shirt I always put that shirt over my jock ( which was over my boxer briefs).  I found that if I wear the shirt over the boxers and then put the jock over the under shirt the jock band holds my uniform-shirt in place Very Very well now and I do not need the shirt stays.  The jock band being so "stretchy" seems to have a decent amount of grip to keep the uniform shirt held in place once tucked into the pants.
