I've attached a picture of one of the local youth (USSSA) baseball complexes located in Lexington County, SC.  Needless to say, the games were rained out this weekend.

The Congaree River behind University of South Carolina's baseball stadium.  The river has not crested, yet.  This is about 1/2 mile upstream from the Stadium.

It's not just about the water going away. It's the cleanup afterwards INCLUDING testing for contamination and remediating that if necessary. Been there (2011).

You'll find that cleaning the ball field is way down on the list.

South Carolina got rocked. Multiple flash floods in the upstate around Easley, Spartansburg and Greenville. Columbia has several rivers and lakes making it a perfect location for what we see and all of that stuff makes it's way down stream to the coast to places like Charleston. This morning the news said 14 dams had been breached, they were attempting controlled releases of other dams to prevent a breach or worse. 

Making things even worse multiple waste water treatment plants have been flooded releasing untreated sewage.

It's a mess. 

My company has locations in Charleston, Columbia and Greenville and we have 5-6 employees who are in the National Guard and have been activated.

Stay tough down there. 24 to 30+ inches of rain is much more than most people can even imagine.
