As I sit watching the snow come down (it started about midnight and is still coming faster than I can shovel), I admire you  guys who umpire year round or almost year round. My first games will not be until late May or early June.

Where are you? North Pole?

 

Does your season end late June?

Well let's see... we're getting 16 inches of snow between today and tomorrow so I'm going to say April.

Nova Scotia (just north of Boston actually ). Season runs to mid October.

I recall a poster from Iowa saying that their HS regular season is in the summer.

 

I was in Iowa on the 4th of July one year. Wife is from Iowa and we were visiting her family. So we go downtown to watch a street parade. It was 28 degrees! A few Snow Flakes.

 

Next day it was 70 and we were playing golf.

If I had my choice, I would take San Diego. Just as warm and sunny... but not 100+ degrees for 80% of the year warm and sunny.

 

SD right up there. Been there once. Absolutely beautiful. Far from cheap though.

Maybe not exactly 28. But felt like it with the winds. May have been low 40s according to this.

Scheduled for a wood bat league game Monday Jan 6, but the forecast for Nashville Monday is high 11  low 3!  Ummm, I'll pass!

College season starts for me in 10 days.  Took this weekend to pull everything out and make sure everything is reset for a championship shape on day 1.  Have a great year boys.
