Now that we are in the off-season (most of us) - what books do you have handy in the room that most wives call our library?

I have 3 different rulebooks, the CCA manual and at least 3 months of Referee magazine within arms reach.

The wife thinks I am odd . Just want to make sure

Only 2 seasons in Maine - baseball and hockey -

In reality it goes - winter, mud, muggy, chilly then winter again

I am like you Maineump, CCA manual, rule books, I also go through the manual and notes I took at a certain Clinic up in Springfield.  Now the thing that drives SWMBO crazy, I also look at videos I have of  me officiating and along with instructors comments I also check out what I look like and try doing what the instructors are saying while in front of a mirror.

OBR, FED rulebooks, FED casebook, Maximizing, MLBUM, Evan's Balk video,..... and Ron Shandler's Annual Baseball Forecaster for rotisserie baseball.

Ha! In Southeast Alaska, it's early winter, mid winter, late winter, and not winter. In the interior it's winter and road work.

That's a lot of stuff to put on top of the toilet tank lid. Or do you have one of them fancy magazine holders that attach to the tank?

Right now it is just UE on my tablet at home. However, at work and out and about, I have my tablet and the 2013 BDR that @StanW sent me.

Hopefully in January I can eventually add the new CCA and NCAA rule book along with all the videos on the NCAA page.

A well designed throne-room - the sink is close enough and big enough to comfortably hold 1-2 and a well place shelf hanging behind on the wall holds the rest.

I've got them stashed every where...I'm also lucky to have my own bathroom, when I built my house, the only thing I insisted on was my garage, my office and my own bathroom...the rest of the house belongs to the wife......

In the magazine rack you will find:

2010 BRD

FED rule book and casebook

old "Sporting News" rules of baseball- OBR

Old Jaksa-Roder

last few current magazine issues of BIMMER magazine- (other passion is cars).

In my brief case:

I have the current 2014 BRD

2014 FED rule book and casebook

2012 OBR

In my travel bag:

a 2006 BRD hand updated, its been around the world in my travels.....

Stan, many don't understand the importance of the old Sporting News OBR. I have several Referees editions, CCA manual, Fed rulebook and casebook, Rules by Topic, and the Fed books on my phone. I want to add the HW manual and PBUC. My problem is I am trying to get a national certification for my job, similar to an engineering test or electrical license test so that is going to take some of my time and it's own set of books.

So let me see if I understand what we are discussing, our umpiring library or if @maineump is odd. Both good subjects.

I've met maineump. I've met MRS. maineump.  She's right, you're odd.

Now.......about the OP.......:sarcasm:

SWMBO gets to the point where she'll holler down the hall asking if my mail should be forwarded.  So obviously I have at least one rulebook,

I have every title ever mentioned on this site.

Wanna have a laugh?  Cite an out of print title and watch me run around with my head cut off trying to buy one.

Just kidding.  No I'm not.

No...no he's not...

Only out of print book I have is not really an umpiree book. It's called "It Ain't Cheating if You Don't Get Caught."
