Stupid stadium design, putting them in a near-impossible situation to make that call from so far away. And why wouldn't this be reviewable?

What happens to an MLB coach or player who is ejected?  Is there any penalty beyond having to leave that game?

Depends on what else happens and how bad it is.  Sometimes you hear about a later fine ect in the press and sometimes you dont

That's almost impossible to see in real time.  I had a similar situation earlier this year - I was in B and a ball was hit to right center directly over my head.  The ball landed and bounced and was gone.  The was only a chain link fence and the woods were about twenty feet further away.  I couldn't judge whether it had landed on the warning track and bounced out or had gone out on the fly.  I got with my partner and judged it to have been a HR.  Two innings later the right fielder says to me "Why didn't you ask me?  I would have told you it was a home run."  Thanks, kid.

Although I don't have any idea why this wasn't reviewable.  I thought one of the factors was "if the ball leaves the field".  This would certainly qualify.

The MLB Bulletin in August 2008 regarding instant replay review specifies replay only applies to home run calls or those with HR potential. Since this play wasn't a HR/Not HR (Fair/Foul/Fan Interference/In Play/Out of Play), it is not reviewable. Baseball remains the only sport that has not added nor referred to instant replay in its rules book.

"Instant replay applies only to home run calls — whether they are fair or foul, whether they have left the playing field or whether they have been subject to fan interference."

Does anyone else, besides me, think the ball brushed the line on it's way up to the fence?

Doesn't matter. Still hit the railing after, which is OOP

Curious, 4 man crew and an obvious trouble ball isn't the 2B umpire supposed to go out on that?

Not from the inside and there was a runner at first at the start.  U1 and U3 split the outfield so this was U3s to go out and the rest rotate.

Oops, I forgot about the guy on first, thanks.
