Why did it take so long for another umpire to come to escort Laird to the shower room?

He punched the first batter of the game out on a high inside pitch that the catcher actually threw back to Lee because it was a ball and the Brave's announcers gave him heck the rest of the game.The pitch in the video looked pretty good.   There was also a spectator interference that was called a HR and not overturned by review. The announcers said it should be a GRD.

I'm not an Angel Hernandez hater like many others are. 

 

But what I think looked bad is that he continued to argue with Laird after he tossed him AND anfer the manager is there. IMO once the player is tossed and the manager is there direct everything to the manager.

That's certainly correct at the levels we do but its not how its done in MLB (said without watching the video so there might be something different in this situation)
