Here's the sitch:

---Basehit between F9/F8. F9 goes down with a twisted ankle. Ball is fielded by F8 and thrown to cutoff man ----

Since F9 was in no danger of being injured again, no reason to kill it

---Same scenario, but F8 will possibly fall over/step on/kick F9 while fielding the ball---

Since F9 was in danger, kill it

Safe/out/BR/baserunners notwithstanding. Impending doom is what we look for.

Question remains, is there a hard copy out there? Or is it possible to have someone email it to me? Great discussions though on some of the questions! Thanks!

SWMBO gets :hopmad: every time I join a new association.

"Let me guess, you need 8 more shirts, 6 more hats, 5 pairs of pants, a new mask...."

She NEVER sees the bills :big_no

I joined a new assn. Mandatory 3 shirts and 2 hats. She just rolled her eyes.

Just remember never call a "Foul" when the ball is hit cleanly to center field! It will keep you out of trouble!

Just took the test blind (no rule or case books) and got an 84. It was strange taking the full 100 question test since Washington only does a 50 question test.

Thanks JaxThe question was what happens if an Umpire inadvertently calls foul on a caught fair ball

The out stands, runners may tag and advance at their own peril. same as any other caught foul fly. Only thing is, if it is UNcaught, it is in fact foul and Jax has egg on his face for his timing.

JJ remind us what 36 said. As for the inadvertant foul call. As far as I can remember it should be a foul ball. But in hindsight (cause I think I might have missed this one) it should be a catch and the ball would be dead.

Does anyone else have a problem with how No. 36 is written in the 2013 NFHS Exam as per the attached file above.

The word "must" makes B false. I'd say C is correct. B infers  you can only intentionally walk a batter before the first pitch. To say B and C would be wrong because B is not true.

I dont like the word "must" in the choices but it seems clear what answer they are looking for to me.  What is your issue with it?

Using "must" on both B and C gave me pause as well.  Since it can be done either way, I went with both B and C.  That was the correct answer.  Seems to me they should have used "may", but I look at this stuff too much from a legal perspective.

It seemed a little "funny" to me too.  The book says may and the test says must. I guess they are trying to throw people off?

D is the correct answer though.
