  1. Question remains, is there a hard copy out there? Or is it possible to have someone email it to me? Great discussions though on some of the questions! Thanks!
  2. In Utah, you have to register every year and take the NFHS Part 1 test through the Arbitersports.com website to work regular season games. Then you have to take the Part 2 test to be eligible to work post season along with other requirements. It is only offered online. However, in the past someone has always come up with a hard copy to use to study the test without having to sit in front of the computer the whole time. And it is true the online test has the same Q & A's, but in various orders. So, I was just looking for a hard copy of the test.
  3. Does anyone know where you can get or download a hard copy of the NFHS Part 1 test?
  4. So if it is legal can you give the reference in the rule book. I can't seem to find it. Thanks for your help!
  5. In 3rd inning Right Fielder comes in to relieve the starting pitcher. Middle of 4th inning he is sent back to Right Field. Middle of 6th he is brought back in to pitch to the last two batters. Under FED rules is this legal for a relief pitcher, after being removed as pitcher to come back and pitch again? From my understanding the starting pitcher can come back later in the game to pitch, but unclear about a relief pitcher.
  6. In Utah it is the FED test all done online and accessed through arbitersports.com. Part 1 must be passed with 80 percent or higher to become certified, with two chances to pass it. After two attempts each extra attempt to pass the test will cost you $15. To be considered for post season you must take Part 2 and pass that with 90 percent (you have only one shot at it) and attend or view online the UHSAA Rules Clinic.
  7. Thanks again for your comments. NWA_UMP, I did as you suggested and adjusted the pads a little and also the harness. It feels much better. While looking in the mirror it's position is now a lot like the picture of the ump you supplied, only he is better looking according to my daughter!
  8. Thanks for the quick replies. It is an actual plate hat ordered from Ump-Attire (430s5-BK-3 Pro Mesh Combo Umpire Cap). Thanks for the picture that helps a lot. As the padding on the upper side of the mask sits on the brim of the hat it seems to sit pretty low to my eyes and restricts the upward field of vision. If I move it up it seemed to me to set the lower padding too much over my mouth. However, looking at the picture supplied by NWA_UMP that is how my hat and mask fit. I guess it is just something I need to get use too. Thanks for helping out a newbie with some pretty simple questions.
  9. I'm a newbie and trying to figure a few things out. When I wear my mask (Wilson A3077) with my plate hat I have to pull it so far down to fit under the padding of the mask that if greatly reduces my field of vision. Is it OK to wear the hat backwards? Does anyone else do this? Any comments or suggestions would be great!
