Not sure if I want to sacrifice a game fee on them though.

Gotta pay the cost to be the boss! :)

These shoes are nice ......but they do come across a bit "footbally" if that makes sense

Makes absolute sense. I've always looked at base shoes that have a white logo but black sole as more "footbally" (same with the reebok field mags). If it had a white sole it would be argued that there's way to much white (see: Reebok zip plate shoes). Also they would then start to look like the already in exisistance diamond trainers.

To be a baseball shoes. Sandwich a strip of white between upper and sole.

Why do you need 5 pairs of base shoes?

Why not?

I have 3. And I plan on buying NB950s for 2013. I have 2 plates and plan on buying the zigs.

Why????? Whoredom. Plain and simple. :D

These.....

Are Nikes attempt to replicate these:

Ken, while it certainly appears that way, ...I don't think it was done on purpose .....

Remember, .... Nike "threw these together" to accommodate the NFL referees. They had the 1.3, so they added leather, and a couple of different soles for different field conditions....

Nike has the capability to throw that sole on any shoe for the right money. It is known as their "Nubby" sole. It's primarly used on their football turf modles. Here are a few shoes that don't come with this sole but it was added at the request of some professional guys...
