I will try and get a picture...could take a little bit.  Like I said...I go a little overboard with the extra so there is some roll over of extra length down at the bottom because I hate the up pull, but with the shoe on the tight part is around the ankle and the shoe straightens out the cuff line.

My personal preference...slight sharpness of look for overall comfort, some won't like it, but that is what customization is all about.

Here are the pictures of them on. As u can see a little roll over effect and bunching but not by any means unpresentable.post-2247-0-38243600-1367872642_thumb.jp

I wouldn't do it, but that's the beauty of customizing your own gear.  To me it looks like too much length and sloppy at the bottom.

I think putting something flat inside the hem to weight the bottom of the pants (with normal length) is a solution I'd try first.

I can respect that...I went a little long...the inseams wouldn't have to be as much I added, but I think it is a technique that could be adjusted by each person to make it work.

Wish I had pics to show but I don't so I'll try to describe everything as well as I can. On my WV Platinum the only mod I've done is added the new delta flex harness like the one that is used on the System 7. On my Honigs K96 (back up mask) I've put a generic MLB logo harness on it with a Diamond sun shield and a Wilson 4in. throat guard. On my Wilson Titanium I have the same sun shield and throat guard that are on my K96 but I kept the stock wilson harness. The biggest mod I've done to it though was have the frame powder coated matte black to cut down on glare. My System 7 double knee shin guards are brand new and only have about 10 games in them so I haven't worked out exactly what I want to do with them. As of right now the only thing I did was remove the toe guard that velcros in. The only complaint I have with them is that the top strap is too tight and restricts movement but if I loosen it any it catches on my pants when I lock in. If anybody knows a way to fix this problem and could let me know it would be greatly appreciated.

For the extra strap that would flop around on the mask harness, I came up with an awesome fix in my opinion.  I ordered a replacement shin strap and cut it to fit around my harness.  It can move back fourth and just makes the look much more professional in my opinion.

Had to post this one...It's a WV Platinum with Team Wendy padding. I removed the throat pad, patched the holes, and painted it black. Also has an All-Star harness. This thing was a pain in the butt patching and painting the plastic.

I may have the most ridicules customization on here. The chest protector I use and love is, wait for it, an old, heavily modified Bauer 3000 hockey goalie chest protector. It's a little bulky in the collar bone and shoulder area, but I just think it give it character. When I wear it under my uniform it actually looks very similiar in its contours to the chest protector Dale Scott wears. Also, it's really light weight, rock solid, and it was really cheap to do. OK, let the sneering and jeering begin.

I really like the look of the blacked out platinum and I may even have to try that out on mine. I'm curious if anyone knows if you can buy a WV logo to put on a CP if you were to paint it? If not do you think that a silk screen shop would be able to do it? I think if I do paint mine I might try and see if I can get the old school WV logo silk screened onto it.

You could just nab yourself an original West Vest by Douglas!! :insertevillaughhere:

The Platinum, IMO, has superior collarbone protection, because the piece of plastic that wraps over them is not separated above the chest, like nearly every other cp. One big piece.

I'm not sure why you'd need a sticker on your cp, that no one would ever see, but to each his own.

Me, I'm going to try to take my old Platinum aprart, and cover the plastic with a sheet of carbon fiber. Add the TW and Delta, and we'll that the cp that All Star decided not to make.

I worked a JUCO fall game yesterday with a guy that had an original Douglas west vest that was in terrible shape. All rusted and nasty. He went to pull one of shin guards out to put on and it fell in half at below the knee. I had to let him wear my Douglas shins. He could not stop talking about how much he loved them. Said he is going to get a pair. Hopefully he will take better care of them than he has his old gear.

It would be interesting to see what Jeff at Douglas could do to his old CP.

Trust me if I could afford an original I would. The president of my high school chapter has one of the first 100 made and I have already called dibs on i when he retires. I can't remember which number it is but I want to say it's like number 88 of 100. I don't think I would wear it on the field though. The platinum just fits me so perfectly and I've never taken a shot with it that hurt in the least. Now that I think about it if I black mine out and send it in to TW I might have to incorporate some kind of TW logo with the WV logo.

Now that is sharp looking CP! I hear a project coming on
