Saw a PU yesterday, can't recall which field, where, the bat that was lying there from the previous batter, he would either flip it up with his foot to his hands and throw it back to the dugout, or flip it up and kick to the on deck batter !!

That's John the idiot. Horrible umpire!

JaxRolo, you look good!...in fact your mechanics are almost identical to mine.

is Jesse still the UIC, and whats the latest on paying the umpires?

Jesse is not the UIC.

You get room and board.

If CDP pays you then you should have to pay for your room and boarding for the week and teams shouldn't be paying you to get there,

Tell Boddie "Fish" says hey! And hit him up for some glasses. He and I have spent many weekends together at tourneys.

Maybe I can at least have some good fans to talk to. ;)

Jax congrats on getting a semi final plate game  also when you return from cdp would you mind writing a general synopsis about daily routines as an umpire at cdp? i played there several years ago and now since I've become an umpire im interested to see the cdp experience from the other side

had a great time at CDP this last week. I had some great games. Only 1 12-0 blowout.

Got to work the Plate on a Semi-Final game. Texas and Beaver Valley. Texas was #1 seed and lost. I had a pretty good game (I think). My crew was very good. Good rotations.

Only down side was some of the arrogant know it all Umpires. Seems like it was mostly some of the younger guys. Luckily I did not have to interact much with them. Overall a great bunch of guys. There were different clicks that didn't seem to get along with others but when you have almost 90 umps that will happen.

As far as daily routine it is not much to it. Get up and you may have from 1 to 4 games. Sunday through Tuesday games start at 8:30 and last one is at 7pm.

About 30 minutes before your game you meet up with your partner or partners. It may be 2,3, or 4 man. Of course you always have the idiot that goes down to the field without you. :shakehead: You get transported to your field and then back to the bunks.
