I have order #'s 7030 and 7055 but I am in the 4 day UPS track. Maybe I will get it in the next couple of days. If not it will be Monday.

I don't need the stuff right now but just curious of what I am going to get.

My order # is 7072, ordered on the 12th, and I haven't heard squat. All I have so far is an authorization on my CC, but the charge hasn't been completed. I sent him an email, hopefully I'll see a box on my porch soon.

I have ordered from him before the sale also. Do not expect to have a lot of communication with him. I have never received any notification items have shipped. A week or so after you order, your CC is charged. Within a week following that, UPS is dropping something off at your door. If he needs to credit you something, the credit just appears on your bank statement. He does everything he says he will, he just never tells you when he is doing it. ;)

Its unfortionate that my order # is 7769 and I ordered yesterday, I might just be able with a little luck to get that pack of pencils rather than all the other equipment I ordered. It really sucks to go on vacation right as a huge sale is happening, and just my luck. ;)

My order # 7395 was placed on 8/14. My account shows charged Tues 8/17 so under the circumstances....I think that's DAMN GOOD.

I've never ordered from this vendor before....but I'll try anyone based on a good experience from others....and overall...that appears the case.

If in fact he's closing shop, I wish him all the best.....

I harken back to www.westernathletic.com who I understand shut down their operation because their suppliers wanted them to "charge more".....

I mean if a vendor charges "enough" to make "enough"....and they're ok with it.....?

Got my shipment today...Got everything except the undershirt that he had already issued me a refund on.

I love the fact that all his items have the price on them that he usually sold the stuff for....makes me realize how much I saved. Now to go a sell the mask to a friend...I already got one during the last sale. GOing to sell it for what I paid last time around $70....so my friend will get a great deal on his mask and I will get an incredible deal on the other one.

I got the first of my 2 orders today. I placed both orders on the same day about an hour apart. Maybe Monday I will have the second order which should have the mask.

Jax, as this is a "one man operation," hopefully he felt it best to just shut it down to allow him time to catch up on filling and shipping all the orders he received the previous two or three weeks. It didn't look like his website's software automatically updated stock on hand (manual update maybe ?) and probably just couldn't keep up. If that is the case, probably a good idea, as opposed to continuing to receive orders for products he no longer has and then issuing refunds. :home:

It's possible he's updating his site software -- maybe to one that will keep inventory up-to-date.

Instead of entering the (probably) thousands of items he had, he decided to slash prices to get most of it out of stock. Then he'll update the site with the new software, making it easier for him to add the new inventory.

Just a guess. If he's really down for good, I'd love to see if he's interested in selling out. With a known site, and probably some inventory already, it wouldn't be hard to continue the operations.

ordered monday evening and my order cleared on thursday.. total was just over $120 for baseball and football.. hope i get it all!

might order another umpire jacket if he opens up site again

my order no. was 7180, and the mask was out of stock as was one of the two shirts i ordered, so he rightly killed the one shirt left because of the shipping charges. i did'nt need the mask, but, i really WANTED that mask. oh well stuff happens.

I received a credit for a pair of turf shoes on Friday, the 20th. Hopefully, that means my order shipped on Thursday or Friday. Orders #7063 and 7092 should be here by Wednesday.

Unfortunately, I will be out of town until Thursday. That means the spouse will most likely have to take the packages off of the porch. I was hoping to limit the questioning.

My order #7014 arrived to me in Texas on Friday. Hoping more of you receive yours today. From the orders numbers being thrown around, this guy had a lot of orders to fill. It will be interesting to see what the site looks like when and if it ever comes back up.

I am still enjoying looking at the mask I got in the order. I love paying around $30 for something that has an $122 price tag on it. Kind of cool.

They were Easton turf shoes, size 10. I couldn't resist them at the $11.74 price.

just logged on to the arbiter the receive my football assignments for the upcoming week (assignment secretary loaded me down this week, 3 games from now til friday) and saw he still has an ad on the site. I clicked on the link and got the same under construction page. My order for some baseball and football stuff cleared last thursday and i'm really hoping i get it before my varsity game on friday (just want to see how the patent leather belt looks w/ my knickers and how the compression shirt i ordered fits)

I can officially call my latest order from SOS closed. I sold the mask I bought a month ago to a buddy for $70 today...I paid $60 something the first time he had it on sale.

Now the one I received last week is truly a steal. Can't believe the price. Now I have to find a game to call.

The pads that came with my Champro aren't as wimpy as the Diamonds or Schutts. They're a bit more stout. I don't care for the feel of the fabric, and went ahead and ordered the leather pads from sos at the same time. It's a bit heavier, but safer, IMO.
