Does anybody else feel the dome of caps is getting lower? Maybe it's a Richardson vs New Era thing, but it seems they've gotten lower and that effects the creasing and overall appearance IMO.

Funny you should ask that. For years Richardson has had a mid crown. I contacted Richardson last season and asked them to make their caps with a high crown like the New Era. They contacted Honigs, who buys the most umpire caps from them and asked them for their opinion . Honigs agreed with the change. So for the 2012 season, any new supply of caps that Richardson sells to its vendors have a high crown. I got a couple from Honigs and they ARE higher...keep in mind that Honigs and other suppliers probually have a mixture of the old and the new...good luck.

I'm loving the new caps from honigs, I picked up a 8 stich and a 4 stich, going to get more very soon.

I got some in January, but haven't noticed yet, ....is it easy to notice?
