  1. that's what I'm going to do. Have all the "loops" replaced with standard eyelets. Thanks all!
  2. Yeah, fabric loop tore ....I was thinking a cobbler could replace the loops with real eyelets Sent from my SM-A426U using Tapatalk
  3. Ok guys....honest answers please Sent from my SM-A426U using Tapatalk
  4. Well, ...I've had these bad boys since 2011 or so. I've had a sole fix and a met place attachment point fix, and now ... I have another issue and wondering if anyone has had this happen and is it fixable? (Yes, I should get a new pair, but these are still in great shape and so comfortable). One of the fabric eyelets under the met plate finally gave way. Is this fixable? If so, what did you have done? Thanks!
  5. Great transaction w/ @Scissors! Thanks William! Do not hesitate to deal with him, ...no issues, clear communication, quick payment!
  6. 1. you weren't there, Warren was. 2. 99,999% of everyone agrees that this play is "award home" 3. Blow it? Maybe not, ... BAD JUDGEMENT, ... very!
  7. Now, honestly, please show me where I said that?
  8. VERY SAD .... this story right here is THE REASON coaches hate us! Warren's partner IS THE REASON! This kind of stuff perpetuates itself, and puts us on the chopping block for no reason!
  9. And that's just it ...... thanks for this @noumpere .... If he stops, we're all good, he's going to get 3rd regardless and makes the job easier. This play is where we make the big bucks! And, the ensuing argument coming from the defensive coach is an easy one to handle .... WAY easier than explaining to the offensive coach why you did NOT award him home (in the OP).
  10. I'll reiterate what others have said ....bolded isn't / shouldn't be your judgement reason .... the play was close, period. Don't give the advantage to the team that faulted. Give R2 home, and it's an easier explanation to the defensive coach than it would be to the offensive coach
  11. While indeed funny, and I understand the gist of Rich's comment, to be fair, ... wearing navy has nothing to do with umpiring mishaps, or ineptness. Some states still require navy for high school, and unfortunately, I live in one of them
  12. I'm 5-11, 215....like the post says....never worn the elbeco, but I'm sure there's more than enough room! Sent from my SM-A426U using Tapatalk
  13. The question is .... (should be)...what do you NEED? I agree w/ Kyle, if you're not using one of the updated harnesses, then that's a good one. And, ...if you you haven't updated your pads in a while, that's important too. I'd look at safety first, then comfort, then ... whatever else. for me ... I NEED new plate shoes, so that's first on my list for sure
  14. LOL! Well, some colors have more than one shirt, .... so .....
  15. Hey everybody ...... I have short sleeve shirts that are up for sale, 18 total between myself and a partner that used to do weekend tournaments together (Trakes2). These are what I'd like to call, tournament shirts ... off colors for long weekends/multiple games type thing. Most have numbers on the sleeve, some don't. Some shirts have maybe 20 games or so, some 2 or 3 games, one of them is 'new'/never worn. These are varying sizes, ... 1 medium, quite a few larges, some XLs, 2XLs and one 3XL (but fits more like an XL or so ). I'll try to be as detailed as possible. Quantities of the shirts are in parenthesis. (no parenthesis means qty = 1) Paypal friends and family only! Shipping will be in either a USPS flat rate small, or medium box depending on how many are purchased. Total cost to be determined after purchase. Listing all shirts for $20. Please feel free to message me. Elbeco - new/never worn. 2XL, #9 SOLD Gray +POS - 2 or 3 games, 3XL, #9 (sizing was really small on these, thus the 3xl) Gray Officials Choice, 2 or 3 games, M, no number Red Smitty, 2 or 3 games, 2XL, #9 (has 'ironing mark on underside of right sleeve, see photo) Red Honigs, 5 or 6 games, (2) L, #2 (made in USA) Burnt Orange Officials Choice, maybe 5 or 6 games, (1) 2XL #9, (1) L #2 Pink Dalco, 2 or 3 games (1) XL #9 (2) L #2 Black Honigs, 8 to 10 games (2) L, no numbers (made is USA) Cream Honigs, 8 to 10 games (2) L, no numbers (made in Pakistan) White Honigs, 3 games (2) XL , #9(one made in Pakistan, no number, one in China. Pakistan has a small fray at end of left collar), (1) L, #2 (made in USA)
  16. I guess I'm different ..... Yes, I love baseball, and yes I love to umpire, and, while some of these are truly funny, and I get it, I really do .... it's just not me, meaning, the baseball-umpiring part of my life doesn't find itself entangled in any every day stuff as mentioned above. Like for instance, I'm taking a quick break before my 3pm meeting (yes, some numbskull scheduled a 3pm friday meeting 🙄) but ... It's January, and yes, I have a camp coming up next month that will be fun as it always is, but ...I'm not looking outside at the snow thinking to myself "wow, I wish I had a game today" But that's just me ALL THAT SAID .... You might be an umpire if: For no reason, you drop to your plate stance, pretend a pitch is coming in, and go through your timing and strike mechanic! I'll do that on a rare occasion ...
  17. well ......FOR ME, ...not if you're going to have a jock/cup over top of them .... I want something smooth and more close fitting to prevent "binding" of the fabric (but that's just me)
  18. The system is ....... sport specific boxer brief underwear (I like Adidas Climacool) .... Nutty Buddy, jock, then tights. I never ( VERY RARELY) have to adjust the cup, and there's no reason to get totally undressed between games, ... reach down and slip the cup out from under the jock.
