Which one? You can find all kinds of posts both raving and ranting about ALL of the Wilson CPs. I personally have an older WV-Wilson Gold (last year they put the WV on it until this year I think) and I wouldnt work a game without it. Others prefer the Platinum and some guys still have the original Wilson CP. Also there is the grey one... it just all depends on what you are looking for and which one you have.

Sadly, I went in to Dicks hoping to see the reeboks or even better, to get my hands on the 3N2 base shoes that I saw online. Unfortunately, the online store is more or less a completely different company than the Dicks retail stores. Kind of makes me sad because if I found them at the store I would have bought them right away.

Its good to have the creator of the product at hand. Oh and ask him about his Sampson Universy-Cal Baptist 1:47 plate job today.

You can also do what I do... give your extras to people that need it. New umpires, old umpires, people you just met... hell give it to your mother-in-law for her birthday and tell her to get her ass out on the field. LOL

Yeh, so basically can we just let this go? I mean we are seriously just and about something that EVERYONE knew so lets just move on. Dude most likely wont ever get into the Hall until after he is dead... and then maybe not even then. Lets move on.

I use two just able every chance I get. Personally I like to have three on my right (throwing side) and two on my left but can be comfortable up to 3 and 3... any more than that I worry a ball might fall out. Most HS games however, you are lucky if you get three baseballs at the start of the game. Its all personal preference. FWIW, if you look at MLBers like Alfonso Marquez and Angel Hernandez, they wear only one bag... just they way the are used to doing it. Use one one game and two the next (or vice versa) and see which feels best. Then go with it.

For what its worth, with the move to a colder climate here in Portland than I am used to, I have considered buying the new jacket with the cut off sleeve option. Im slowly starting to get used to the look and think it would be a good choice here for me.

The email didnt really answer a lot of my questions as to why they are doing it. Also if you want the NCAA video updates and such it looks like the only place to get it unless some poor idiot decides to put it on YouTube (lets hope this does not happen... I would hate to see what would happen to said idiot!). So its kind of a DAMNED if you DO and DAMNED if you DONT kind of situation. Honestly, if you go the $50 route, which would qualify for most of us college guys on here, then you basically get the videos and such for free since you get a $15-20 CCA manual, the $15 or so NCAA rule book and $20 to Honigs. Sounds kind of like a steal... especially since most of us would get those books anyways (and the $20 for Honigs is just a bonus). I have decided to wait until April after I work some HS games and get some extra money in my pocket before I buy in... and yes, hopefully my name will cross the desk of Mr. Hiler and he will notice that I am up here and want in.

How much were they on Amazon or at Dicks? My wife is on Amazon all the time and there is a Dicks not far away from me. I will have to check them out and probably pick up a pair if they are cheaper than I can find the NB995s.

Im with you. I miss the sunny weather for year round baseball. However, I dont miss the heat during the summer. We have been between 45 and 55 degrees every day here in Portland with off and on showers (you know, typical NW weather) and Im starting to go a little baseball crazy right now. Especially with all the up coming clinics and meetings this month and next.

I have only talked to Ed through Facebook but will officially meet him at the HS meeting on Feb. 1. His brother(?) is the assignor for the Portland HS unit. I know he was at the clinic and cant wait to pick his brain on the first for what he learned there. I also think there were a couple other guys that might have been down there but Ed was for sure. Like I said. Ive decided to hold off until May or June to get the page... that way I can have it in time for summer college ball. Is the paid membership for the NCAA site a full year or does it expire on the 31st of December?

Dude, what is up with this? I move to Portland and all the MLB guys are holding clinics in SoCal? So not fair! (especially when you add to it that I missed the Jim Evans clinic that took place last here up here... major burn!)

Semper, you could have also gotten it from Hoings (and saved on the shipping). Also the creator of the OLR is located in Orange County... he even posts on here some times.

can they do a west coast version as well? I cant make it to Florida but I could definitely make it to Phoenix, AZ.

I kind of like that idea. I always thought it strange that all replays go through MLB headquarters in NYC. I always thought it should be on site, not piped through the head offices.

My thoughts exactly. I am curious as to what changed so that we now need to pay for the same content? You are correct about Mr. Hiler being the new assignor for D2 in the Pacific NW (he is also the D2 assignor for all of CA as well). He also is the new assignor for JuCo, NAIA and D3 in the NW. I will most likely chip in the $50 to $100 come May when the HS season slows down and I audition for the college unit over the summer again. Hopefully this time I can be seen by more people.
