As to a game with a time limit and urging teams to hustle and get a move on. I'm probably in the (extreme) minority here but what's the point? I'm all for showing some hustle and enthusiasm but the games going to only last so long and if they want to waste THEIR game playing time so be it. I have found that trying to get them to move it along is like trying to herd cats. It just doesn't seem to work. Just my .01 Now if there's no clock then that's an entirely different story.

Soooo... what are you using and what about these...? Thanks https://www.ump-attire.com/Baseball-Umpire-Equipment/U12-XL_Ump-Attire-XL-Ultimate-Umpire-Ball-Bag?id=382

Hey guys... good stuff. Thanks!

So in the "classic / pro move" jump/jab step, even though his foot lands behind the rubber, since the other criteria weren't met, your points 1,2,3, he MUST throw to first. I have it. Thanks

Like this!!! http://m.mlb.com/video/v32402763 To address what was in the video... when the pitcher spun towards first, his back foot ended up behind the rubber. A spin with the back foot ending up behind the rubber doesn't fit the requirement of "stepping off"? Thanks

This probably has been answered before but does this apply to dropped 3k? Thanks

And some umpires too... Maybe an exaggeration but probably true to some extent.

Other than he has to leave the game, is there any penalty, say a 1 or 2 game suspension, for getting tossed? Sure doesn't sound like it.

What, the part about calling the runner out when the interfering batter has just struck out? FED 7-3-5 PENALTY, OBR 7.09(e) Thanks!
-
You get the advancing runner if the Batter Interferes on Strike 3 and you feel that it prevented a possible DP. Otherwise you just send him back. Where is this?

What kind of Indicator do you use? Or MLB guys?

I like the ones with the big numbers as I can't see very well. At least that's what I've been told. -
That's what I was thinking but I can't find a specific rule reference that prohibits a retouch after crossing home. (unless it's a dead ball which it isn't in this case)
-
This may be related to an earlier question I posted but I'd like to keep that post out of this one... R3 is off and running on a fly ball. Ball is caught. R3 has crossed plate. He realizes that he has to go back and retouch. He gets back safely due to a bad throw from the fielder. CAN he legally retouch after crossing home? Thanks

Umpires for 6u?

Speaking of uncaught 3rd strike... I've got a catcher who makes a clean catch but as he comes out of his squat, the ball falls out of his glove. Uncaught 3rd strike? I know there's no time limit but how long do I "wait" to declare it IS a catch and the batter is out? Thanks
-
I get this kind of stuff a lot. R2 is going to 3rd and F6 pulls up short because he doesn't want to run into R2. Does he know the runner has to stay out of his way or does he think he does? I don't know what he thinks but if I had a dollar for every time a fielder pulled up / slowed down to avoid a runner, I could go to McDonalds a lot more often.

Or when they strike themselves out. I was going to call it a ball but they started back to the dugout so I granted them their "wish".
-
I don't think most reputable umpire associations allow their umpires to wear cleats. Sounds like he was wearing plastic molded cleats. No problem with that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Do the Pros wear molded cleats?
-
Because they / I / we are not all "pros" like some here.
