I am a product of MLBU’s Evaluation Day Camp at North Central College, Naperville, IL in 2015. That camp changed my life, if only changed my career trajectory.

COVID and MiLB’s contractions put the entire program on hold & hiatus in 2019 thru 2021. At School this year, the MLBU Leadership (they remembered me! By name!) assured us that they will be launching the program again. Richmond might be one of those venues. Any kind of info is going to be found deep on MLB’s site, or in an announcement from the school/venue hosting the event. MLBU will typically favor a venue that not only has a baseball field, but also a nearby field house to conduct it indoors if weather doesn’t cooperate.

It was just announced today. If you have any aspirations to go to umpire school, you need to go

I do, thanks. I'll be going. Still can't find any info on it though.

I remember driving 8 hours and crossing through 2 provinces and 2 states to attend one and it was an absolute blast. I'd recommend going to anyone who's interested.

@Scissors... I went scouring, and I found this:
https://www.mlb.com/official-information/umpires/camps

Now, there might be additional information on Facebook, but I wouldn't know, nor care to know, because I will never have a Facebook account. This is what I'm referring to:
https://www.facebook.com/mlb.camps/

Evidently, the video mentions that their next site announced is Richmond. I like the video... I recognize several students in there, as well as my good friend, colleague, and crewmate-last-year! In fact, the camera gets quite up close and personal on him.

It shouldn't matter where you are in your amateur umpire career, if you have the day available, go.

I'm not sure if the Richmond one is different , but I just registered for 21May in Indianapolis ... thanks for the link, I had no idea this was a thing.

Thanks for all endorsement and encouragement on this.  I went yesterday, had a great time and learned quite a bit.  Enough instruction and critique to be useful, and enough fist bumps, high fives and validation that I do know quite a bit of what I'm doing out there.  Felt great!

Some links were in the Richmond paper here:

Shoot, wish I had seen this.  My son went to the Indianapolis camp!  I haven't had a chance to talk to him about it yet though.
