In hindsight I should probably have asked you guys first...

Anyway, a little over two weeks ago I placed an order with The Official's Choice for a bunch of shirts. I got shipping notification two weeks ago, but nothing since, and I can't seem to get anyone to answer emails to tell me what's going on. They're shipping from New Jersey, supposedly, so unless they're being delivered by horseback or carrier pigeon, should definitely have arrived by now (I'm about an 8 hour drive from Jersey).

Have any of you guys had problems recently?

I've ordered a number of shirts from them over the years, but like I tell all of my umpire buddies, don't order if you are in a hurry. I've always received my orders, but for some reason, the shipping is hit or miss. Keep trying and I'm sure you'll get your order, but it may be a while.

I only order their shirts when they are on sale and just wait for them to arrive.

I ordered from them the Friday before last and my package came Thursday or Friday last week. I've also sent him a few emails asking about small shirts and haven't been answered which is highly unusual from him, he's always gotten back to me with a day. He sends FedEx so you can track your package, the information should be on the shipping notification you received.

Yeah this was a bunch of shirts that were on sale. Placed the order April 13th, got shipping notification on the 19th, but nothing since then. Not even a response to emails :\

My order was sent by USPS according to the email, but there was no tracking number provided and the email address the notification came from bounces. Using the Yahoo address on the site seems to be firing messages into the ether as at least three emails have gone unanswered.

Maybe he didn't use enough postage for international shipping?

Well, $17 to go from New Jersey to Toronto ought to be enough...

Well Mike,

While you do not have to wait for the cross Canada trek of five or six days, I have found that when I order something from the US (especially back east and the company is using stamps.com) tracking my package is easier that what it was before. I can track the package if the supplier gives me a USPS tracking number. Neat thing is that when it has cleared customs (that usually takes about 3 days) in the States and is sent to destination (Canada), you can use that USPS tracking number through Canada Post's tracking service. Not so much a problem for you, because there will not be days in between as the package treks along the Canadian Shield through the Prairies and across the Rockies into the Wet Coast, but for me, it does make knowing when it comes easier to track.

Just wondering if anyone might have some other contact info for these guys? I've tried emailing and calling everything I can find listed on their website without having anyone get back to me.

I'd really like to get my stuff but it's starting to look like I'm gonna have to do a chargeback, which kinda sucks for all involved parties.

Some good news, finally.

Yesterday I sent an email giving them a heads-up that I would issue a chargeback in a few days as I hadn't been able to get anyone to answer my emails or phone calls. Magically I got an email response with a FedEx tracking number and an apology.

So it looks like I'm actually going to get my stuff, albeit over a month since I placed the order.

There's no "they", it's just a "he", and like any solo net-based entrepreneurship, he gets overwhelmed (his first name is Paul). In much like what stifles Dan and +POS, TOC likely gets bogged down with coordinating supply channels and orders, and there is a "batten down the hatches", insulating action (more like inaction) you adopt where instead of over-promising and repeatedly communicating, you just clam up and muddle through.

My _guess_ is that your shirts are on the way, but stuck in Customs. TOC didn't put any special international code or exemption or whatever is needed...

(now reading update, as I had started this post 2 days ago, but had to step away for work)

Well! Good to hear you're going to get your shirts! Now there's another umpire I can match with in my future travels. :)

The only thing I'm missing now is pink for Mother's Day. Got my black, navy, powder, and now red and cream on the way.

Really need a better way to take these to and from the field though...
