OK, nice!

Well, ... what pads are you going to uses, and what masks do you have currently?

Joel recently sold me one of his from his (extensive) collection – a Nike NRS w/ MaskIt gunmetal. I love it. I've got it teamed up with tan TWs, a black Nike harness, and soon will have an iridium sun shield in it, upon which I'll get a white Nike swoosh applied. Photos will, of course, be coming as soon as the sun shield is in.

My Easton Speed Elite has gotten more dull than silver, but still looks pretty good. It may go off to MaskIt to get bright silver (re)applied to it. An Easton silver throat guard is coming on delivery for it, and I may put it up for sale locally to one of my fellow umpires.

That leaves the All-Star FM4000. As Rolo can attest, the paint on that thing comes off just by breathing on it, so it's going to need a powder coat done. Since this is my "navy trim" mask, I think I'll run a color by Tony (of MaskIt) called "Blued Steel". One of the added benefits of sending it to Tony is he takes an umpire's approach to the mask, going so far as to fix busted (or bad) welds, non-catastrophic bends, etc... _then_ powder-coats it beautifully. I have a powder-coating resource here for our shop parts... Since it's just a powder-coat job on this FM4000, I may just do it here, where I have beaucoup colors available to me – I'll just have to lump it in with some casters. ;)

Oh, any FM4000 owners find or figure out a way to mount a sun shield in this thing?

I "cut" a honigs sun shield to fit mine.  I don't have access to the pic at the moment, but it can be found in the "mask porn" thread.  If I can find it there I'll post it, if not, ...I'll post a pic later.

By the way, ... All Star would have to have a sun shield MADE for the 2000 and 4000 for it to work properly.  The standard shields on the market won't fit.

@MadMax, my 4000 is in desperate need of a powder coating too. I need to get it sent off here soon.

ME THREE!!!!  Sending it to Tony soon!  I'm having it done matte black.  It'll have TW tan pads, an Allstar 6" TG and a custom sunsheild
