Fielders leg completely blocked the view of the base from the umpire.

@JaxRolo nailed that one. the fielder's knee comes down right as the hand gets near the base and completely blocks the base from the umpire's view. Hard call for him to see but easy for the cameras to catch.

One benefit of the Review Process is that you do not (or should not) get the subsequent "second argument" from the other coach.  It's a very quick hook if the second coach argues a call after the review.

I would have safe all day from any angle at full speed.  

 

I get that he is out.  

 

The days of "when in doubt, call him out" are gone in MLB, especially when the runner is under the tag.

Did he have secure possession before the hand hit the bag?  Not certain - the ball looked to be rolling around in the glove a little.

I think ejections will be way down this year and if we get any EJ's they're going to be strike zone related.  

 

There really shouldn't be an EJ on any judgment calls.
