So how many on here have had are are soon to take the FED test for HS?

The Florida test starts today.

Our association has a Rules clinic review tonight. Then I will probably take the test tomorrow or the next day.

What do you do to prepare for the test?

I have always scored in the 90's and I even Aced it 1 time. But I am not a good test taker and always get a bit nervous.

In Ohio, it's "one and done."

Well, one for the class, and another to advance to Class 1 (varsity). But who the hell ever said, "two and done"?

I honestly don't even know the testing window for VA.

Last year I took it on the final day the test was available w/o a fine at 11:00pm finished in about 20 min and got a 95.

I'll take it earlier this year.

In Orange County, we are supposed to take the online "study guide" which is open book.  This year, it's 150 questions.  Then, we take a closed book, 50 question certification exam (the questions come from the study guide) at our February classroom meeting.  You have to score 80% or the first two weeks of your schedule get pulled.  If you don't then score 80% or better on the makeup exam, you get the rest of your schedule pulled.

So did you give them enough notice not to give you games in the first 2 weeks?

It's my fourth year in the association - the assignor has learned his lesson already.

For some reason, both Oregon and Washington give us until MAY to finish the HS online test (done through Arbiter). I generally take it once closed book and once open just to see how I do. I plan on taking it some time next month so that it is ready by the first of March (season starts mid March in both states.)

We have 50 question and 75 minutes.

If computer crashes during test. To bad! You fail!

Rolando, you aced one of these tests? 100%?  We have until May to take the test in Washington? There was something said about not getting games until we passed it though, which kind of lights a fire. Maybe it was Varsity games? Anyway, it took me 5 weeks but I finally passed it.

Yeh, both my associations (Portland and Vancouver, WA) require us to take it by the first or second week of the season or have our games pulled. However, as stated before, the state gives us until some silly time... like mid to late May.

2 years ago I aced it. Last year got a 96.

It is virtually impossible to ace the online study guide in CA.   There are always 2-3 wrong answers.

Last year, if you got every question correct on the certification exam, your score was 98.  Good thing I am not OCD or else that would have driven me nuts.

We are only allowed to re-take if fail.
