Almost always I have two games, and I prefer plate first and field second. I take the drive down to the field as a time to get in game mode, and starting my evening off on time and on pace is how I like to start.

The second game is when I start to get antsy, so the ability to move around the field helps cure that.

As a former New Englander, I'd like to respond: "Yeah, I gotcha "I like to be in control Right Here!". Work a game at 104 degrees with a pitcher who can't throw Southwest, much less over the plate and tell me you like "being in control"

Best two out of three falls

I personally like the plate but have no problem with bases. When I don't know my partner, or he is inexperienced, I prefer taking the plate. I know if he will cover the bases if I go out, is he moving out from the plate on fly balls, is he covering third? If I am on the plate I can watch him and plug the hole.

I like both for different reasons. The plate is really fun when the pitchers are good. The bases are a lot of fun too. I like getting in different positions and turning for steals and pick-offs.

I definitely like the bases if the catcher is afraid of the ball (this happened to me a few times).

I would have to agree, the plate is the place to be!  Although I will force myself to do bases from time to time.
