Question
Guest john
man on 2nd and 3rd and no outs in this 11u USSSA tournament.
runner on 3rd dashes home, pitcher throws, batter swings and misses,
swing takes batter over plate which places him moving through home plate,
catcher catches pitch and moves to intercept runner coming in to steal home.
catcher cannot make the play due to the batter's legs and feet being in-between
the tag.
umpire called 2 outs, the runner and the current batter
I was thinking the batter would be out, but wouldn't it be a dead ball, runner back
to 3rd?
thanks.
