What would have been nice is to have a camera behind PU that included the throws home, showing PU's various "read(s)" and subsequent adjustments that put him in that final position. And I wonder if PU was thinking what I was thinking as this play unfolded...there is no way in hell there will be a collision at the plate. Throw from the left side, prior victim at F2 (who is probably still a little gun shy) and a two ton Mack Truck chugging around from first. Gotta be a swipe tag...and rightfully so. Great job by PU.

Look at how good his view was.

Staying in the back pocket/ glove side... such a great angle.

Just like I was taught last weekend. Guess my instructor knew what he was talking about. :notworthy:

Did it take you to see this play to think that about the Instructors....LOL

Nah, I knew they were good. This is just confirmation. Can't wait for spring to get back out there myself.

Absolutely great call!! And, whatever he said it convinced Leyland very quickly.

And not a very good slide. I see this all the time, but don't understand it --- both legs folded up under the player. Here perhaps he caught his spikes on the ground and that resulted in his "extended leg" getting folded up. But I see runners at all levels with both legs folded, and it often costs them.
